Be a Black woman who protects her peace and thrives, spiritually and financially. Be a Black woman who is unapologetically herself, with an open throat chakra. Be the only Black woman in non-Black spaces while they silently wonder why you’re not struggling. And be young, too.

My best advice: Don’t fold. Don’t take things personally. But never let people disrespect you.

That’s why it’s so important to make your home your sanctuary. Because once I’m done dealing with people, I retreat to the beautiful forest, surrounded by butterflies and God.

People are lucky to even be in my presence.

right before God elevates you. he’s going to show you everybody's heart around you. this is so you'll know who to take with you & who to love from a distance once you've entered your next chapter. elevation has always required separation and it always will. everyone can't go.

i think deciding to love someone continually is like reading the same book again, but each time finding a different line that hits deep and makes you think about something you didn't realize before. and you decide to read it again and again, knowing you'll never get enough of it, knowing you'll always find something new about them to love.
