Poppop and The Bike

Poppop has a stationary bike in the basement (where I live and have my little den), and it’s really good for him to ride it, AND he LOOOVES my big tv, so today after work he rode the bike and watched Planet Earth on it.

“Poppop, you’re riding your bike with the elephants right now!”

Poppop and the BBQ Chicken Quesadilla

We had leftover chicken from one of those pre-cooked birds you can buy at BJs, so to use up the chicken I decided to whip up some bbq chicken nom noms

You will need:

Corn

Black Beans

Yellow Onion

Poppop and the Italian Wonderpot

There are lots of recipes for wonderpots on the internet of things, so I decided to try one of these one pot pastas tonight.

It came out decent. It wasn’t my favorite thing ever, but it’s light and filling.

Pasta (I used linguine cuz it’s what we had)

Vegetable broth (3 cups ish)

Diced tomatoes (2 cans)

Poppop and The Cat

Poppop wanted to watch the Olympics on my tv, because it’s huge and hd. So he came down and we watched the ice skating for a while, and Kali, my cat, came out to investigate, and let him pet her for about a nanosecond.

Later, he told my mother the cat let him pet her.

Poppop and the Tuna Casserole

For dinner tonight I made a quick, easy, Tuna Noodle Casserole.

You will need:

Egg noodles

two cans of chunk white albacore in water

shredded cheddar

two cans of cream of broccoli, chicken, or mushroom soup

milk

peas (frozen or canned is fine, but if you go canned make sure to drain and rinse them)

bread crumbs (i like herb seasoned panko)

Poppop and the Superbowl

P: “That was a helluva game, probably never seen anything like it!”

Me: “Yea, it was amazing!”

For the superbowl, Poppop went to my uncles house to watch the game. They had chinese takeout (the leftovers of which we ate tonight) and all told had a great time. Poppop said the end of the game made him super nervous and very excited, and he’s still excited about it today.
