I agree with all this except I see them as queer platonic. It is canon that they are soulmates and each other’s significant other. And they do raise Jack together.

But I’m also ship & let ship, and for me, I will always get on well with wincest shippers because the only difference between us is wincest includes sex & romance, and I don’t. But we all see Sam & Dean and their love as core of the show.

Spent my teens watching Buffy. I’m old enough to even remember the Gold Blend adverts.

Then in later years loving him as Herc in Cabin Pressure and loving to hate him as Rupert in Ted Lasso.

I was once lucky enough to see him in person as I was down the stairs at the cinema and he was walking up. Without meaning to, I went ‘Giles!’ Then ‘sorry’ and ran away.

Finally watched Drive-Away Dolls and Honey Don’t. Didn’t realise both were so queer - it was a lovely surprise. That bar scene with Aubrey Plaza 🔥

Loved both films and it was a great way to start Pride Month.
