Tumblr really is full to bursting of the fascinating category of people who will shout ACAB at the top of their lungs and despise the American prison system with dramatic displays of vitriol but when confronted with someone who did something they actually think is a serious moral transgression cannot conceive of 'justice' meaning anything except the offender suffering, preferably in dramatic and humiliating ways.

I cannot stress enough that this is NOT exaggeration they are calling for the complete abolition of trans people. And you may go "haha well. Thats just West Virginia" which first of all, fuck you for downplaying the struggle of trans people in a place just because you dont live there, and second of all its not just west virginia. This is the goal of all republican regimes across the country.

If you are not fighting against republicans with every fiber of your being at this point you are not a trans ally. If you tolerate the republicans in your family without challenging their ideas about trans people you are not a trans ally. Fight for us goddamnit or we will be culled and our blood will be on your fucking hands.

They're trying it in coal country first. Not because they're more conservative on the whole but because they're dirt fuckin' poor and not politically engaged. No that is not a fucking knock on the people of West Virginia. Do you have *any* idea how far macro politics are from the mind of someone isolated and worried about how they're eating tomorrow?

They're trying it in WV because they know for damn sure the people there are too busy trying to *find* their own oxygen mask, let alone put it on *first* to be paying attention to anything beyond survival. It's why their own fucking representatives keep coal country poor and isolated. And they portray them as backward conservatives in order to *keep* them isolated.

It is the Moral Duty of those of us with enough to pay attention. To stop this shit, firmly, quickly, and without demonizing the folks the people putting this shit forward claim to be acting on behalf of.
