I am the sacrificial lamb.
Take my kindness as if it were wool and comfort yourself with it, I don't need it.
Take my love to sustain your hunger for compassion like it was a banquet. I don't eat much anyway.
Take my little sounds of joy to break the unsettling silence, I'll keep my bleating cries to my own.
Take my loyal following for when you need the company, I don't have anywhere to go.
And when there's little left of me, corral the rest and take me to slaughter and use everything that remains for you.
For I am the sacrificial lamb.
