Got DMed by an art commission scammer, UGHHH! 😭🤬💀
So I was just chilling and minding my own business when one day a user followed me (this is what they look like by the way)
And so, they started it off normally (it felt a bit odd, but I tried to shrug it as someone who never really used the internet or whatever)
And then then the vibes were way off when this happened (but again I tried to shrug it off)
And then they send me their so called “artwork”
I had a feeling this scammer stole those art from someone but I wasn’t sure from who exactly! And the vibes only got more weirder than it actually was
They told me it was theirs but I wasn’t sure I could believe them! Again, I wanted to be optimistic but then the question of “If you don’t mind can I ask something?” popped up and I was weirded out, but I wanted to hope it was just some question that wasn’t invasive as fuck! Turns out the question was something I was not looking forward to!
Even when I told the scammer I didn’t have money (I mean I did have money in my debit card bank account, but that money was a gift) and that I was currently in college and didn’t have a job, they insisted that I could just “pay a little now and then I will make the art and you can pay full later” (something like that), which I didn’t appreciate! It’s like they didn’t even see my comment at all! And that’s when I realized they were a art commission scammer, someone who would just ask to commission for me and then steal my money to either give me some AI slop thing or just ghost me entirely and run off with my money either way! (Luckily, I didn’t give them the money)!
But still, the fact I was looking forward to some cool art only to find out it was just some stupid pathetic art scammer who was there to scam me out of my money just made me upset and made my already “not the best” day even worse because I’m mad that this person dared to try to scam me! (And here’s the thing, I never asked to commission them before, so the vibes were just off as hell)
Anyway, if you see this user, please report them and block them (especially if they reach out to you the same way they did to me)!
Again, this is their user so you can block and report them!
But yeah, I didn’t get scammed thankfully but I could’ve been if it weren’t for the fact I was aware such a scam existed!
