Anything for my guy, Ralph

• favorite thing about them - the fact that he makes corny jokes under pressure

• least favorite thing about them - the intonation in his Into the Pit voicelines sounds off, like the voice actor is imitating awkwardness without really matching the words? It's hard to explain

• favorite line - "Getting there" as a response to Dave's "You losing it, calling me at this hour?” I'm not entirely sure why, but it just stuck to me, guess i find it witty

• brOTP - he gave up his life to save Mike Schmidt, even if they never meet, that's gotta count for something

• OTP - i don't particularly ship him with anyone, but whatever he's got with Dave from maintenance is pretty close, like, he pays for all their dinners, they have this employee of the month competition banter and "lose this number" "i'll miss you, too"? Pretty sentimental 🤨

• nOTP - him and Bronwen. Maybe it's fine one-sided, but i can't see him ever reciprocating because he says she reminds him of Coppelia

• random headcanon - my mom has this thing where she'll turn on a stove burner to make coffee in the morning and if it's particularly cold, she'll hover her hands over it to warm them, which seems like something Ralph would do to me

• unpopular opinion - him being the leak, while cool as hell as a concept, is not something i entirely believe in due to the clearance levels + him being a teenager when he was wearing the springlock suits

• song i associate with them - this is super specific and non-sensical, but Refrão de Bolero's instrumental by Engenheiros do Hawaii

There is a complicated relationship that Charlotte carries with her father, that is due to fact he is trying and failing.

The disappoint over how a solid amount of the time, he's there to say or do the thing she needed. How sometimes he's able to be that warm and gentle hand she needs to tuck her in at night, or help her with homework, or sing her lullabies. But that he isn't like that all the time. Sometimes he's distracted, or emotionally distant, or stressed and failing to hide it. Sometimes he's there in traces: pre-made lunch bags set on the counter before she even wakes up, a note on the counter, cash on the table for her to spend to go get ice cream after school, a note taped to her bedroom door saying he has a project till midnight. As she gets older, she sees the flaws in his performance, the ways he's barely managing to take care of himself and seems to only be functioning when he's cycling around both her and work. The unsteady rhythm of switching back and forth between the two, with his mind always occupied by the other.

With it comes that horrifying revelation, that your parents are not shining figures who guide you to the best path, but just people who are spouting directions without even knowing the terrain fully themselves. That they could lead you down the wrong way, and think it right the entire time, not through malice, but through incompetence. That love can be unconditional, but not perfect.

i already posted to twt and i know you saw it so it feels weird tagging you again but yknow… i wanted to post this here too :-) i get to add more detail about my process

i started out super frustrated cause i don’t normally draw the animatronics(cause im bad at it) so that stupid rabbit made me mad. but i think i figured it out. also when i did most of the hard work i was on vc with lottie watching fnaf minecraft videos so i was having a good time post frustration. i became happy

procreate said this took 5 1/2 hours? i mean most of it was probably being distracted by random encounters fnaf so i don’t think it actually took me that long but i did it! heh. yay!
