i think being a trans man is a lot more difficult than many people are willing to acknowledge because that would mean needing to talk about the misogyny we experience without misgendering us or grouping us with cis women and they’re just not ready for that. like there’s the specific transphobic misogyny (not transmisogyny) when our biomedical transitions are percieved as us ruining and destroying our bodies and making them undesirable and repulsive and infertile. it’s real and it’s traumatising and we don’t really talk about it. very difficult
and this isn’t about being in competition with trans women over who has it worse or some shit. never. this is very much directed at cis people who consider themselves allies of or advocates for trans people but don’t understand what moving thru the world as a trans man can actually look like
