I’m investigating the possibility of speaker replacement for this furb! I know for sure that something is wrong with the speaker itself, not the wiring or the connector, which makes this a less straightforward fix– I have to find a new speaker with pretty much the same specifications.
Usually at this point the advice is to get a “donor” furby, who isn’t functioning for other reasons, and “transplant” the whole speaker and tickle sensor assembly. I would definitely recommend this if you don’t know much about electronics, as it’s much simpler. I don’t have a non-functioning furby whose speaker still works, so I decided to go even further.
