And now there's an internal debate I'm having if indeed GoFurby is a hacked account of HeyFurby

Someone mentioned it but noone has expanded from it

Does anyone have anymore lore on this? Mostly because I'm curious

He relisted for $500 +free shipping earlier today. Got two comments; one for our own beloved Crayfurbs asking why it's so expensive when they got a practically brand new and working one for $120

Then our beloved og buyer said because it was a scam

I regret not taking a screenshot of the comments then 😢

Anywhos, so I just assume it'll be up till either Mercari actually does something (I'm now the second one to email about this issue and urged swift action) but instead I randomly clicked on about half an hour or so ago to see a new listing for the same Furby

I assume it's a warning

It wasnt

So that means either 1) first post today (10 ish hours ago) actually got removed 2) he deleted it himself to erase the comment section

I obviously think it was the second

So if you see this silly lil guy under the Go Furby name, you know what to do. Keep on the good fight.

Mass report, leaving comments of warnings, ask why and spreading the word

There is no way this is @heyfurbywebsite actual account. The hacked claim I saw someone say seems to be fair fitting yet Mercari does not have a way to report an account for being fake

Anywhos, a fake account would explain why he was trying to sell this poor Furb on eBay under the account name "auguststyle" instead of the actual account owned by Hey Furby

He's still up to his nasty tricks

Deletes posts with negative comments and relisted the same exact thing

Blocks anyone who goes against him

Seemingly deletes his post if it reaches the third row of new listings and/or if it reaches a certain hour old (seems to be 6 hours)

Being cheeky and doing prices drops now so I went and put my beware listing ridiculously cheaper 🤡

And the update from staff isn't much

I went ahead and asked if it would be possible to freeze his account as he's being looked into

Reading between the lines, that's a no lmfao nice just real nice

But on a funny note, is dropping price

The wiki states it sold for like $450 when it did sell so I'm like hmmm

So I had actually reached out to both GOFurby and Hey Furby to see if they're related

(my curiosity go the better of me when I was trying to find the og eBay page of GO and ended up going down a rabbit hole instead)

I got a response that will help MANY of us out for future reference! Like I might actually take this info to the Furby wiki kind of important imo

It also tells us that Go is fully not gone, as we all believed

For they updated their website with one post (Nov 2023) since 2019

Now, are they actually the scammer on Mercari? Still no clue

Especially with the knowledge from the wiki that the Royal Prototype that this Mercari seller sold, is FAR off of the price that the original GOFurby listed it for in 2017

Did that one ever sell??

Which eyelash color was it?

How did this person get their hands on BOTH versions??

So many questions that'll never be answered

But anyways, why would you sell off an alt eBay account in the first place when the GoFurby name had a thriving store. With ratings and sales and reviews.

I guess I'll just have to assume it was deleted when the left from archiving. But why not leaved it as an archive??

Why would someone who's sold off most, if not all, of their stock go around with such outrageous prices?

Especially for a Furby that has no guarantee it works and is in poor condition

If he really was once a collector, wouldn't he have the general knowledge to price accordingly?

Especial when a Labrador Furby fetches under $200 with shipping and in practically out of box brand new conditions most frequently now of days

I guess we're on food for thought while still awaiting Mercari to take action

So good ol scammer McGee has finally updated his listing after leaving it a whole 24 bours

I guess he's giving up on selling it for "no less than $300!!" Lmaoooo

You've blocked nearly the entire community over there who would consider buying anyways

We still know what you did and how you scammed a kind soul not once but twice and tried to greed your way to $500+ on a basically might as well be broken furby

Your actions let to a BAN ON EBAY which you THEN tried to pull the wool over us but getting on Mercari but we see you. We know.

Am I doing this right? Most of these are from the anime, which has an aesthetic and colour palette I really adore but is sadly toned down in Sailor Moon Crystal.
