Free 2005 Furby onesie pattern
Hey itâs me again!
Iâve recently added some 2005 lovelies to my collection and Iâve used them to do some sewing experimentq.
This is quickly done and rather easy to put together, itâs a slip-on onesie with no bottom but they look so cosy! I used scraggly fabric for mine because I was just testing it.
I used strechy fabric so be able to slip it on the furb easily. I you donât I suggest adding an opening with buttons or a scratch.
Enjoy!
Please donât use this pattern for monetary use, I share my patterns because Iâm aware the moneyâs tight in the community and I want to help.

Furby 2012 and Furby Boom Custom Skin Pattern
Howdy! Havenât posted in a while since lifeâs got me a bit busy. But Iâm here with a pattern to share with everyone so that YOU can make your own custom Furby 2012 or Boom skins! I made this pattern all by myself so I take full credit. If you use this pattern, please let me know! Iâd love to see your creations! :3 No credit required, just donât steal it and say you made it.
Here is the pattern! Full instructions and notes are in this image, and the following image is the pure pattern with no notes. The pattern with notes is not guaranteed to be scaled properly, please take note.
This one is scaled properly.
To fit the new skin onto your Furby, pull the ears back as far as they can comfortably go and slide one ear hole onto itâs ear. It might be difficult, so fold your Furbyâs ear hotdog style to help in sliding it on. Once that part is on, you can put the other ear through its hole the same way and pull the rest of the skin down.Â
Stuff the tickle sensor into the belly and reconnect it. Secure the face fabric to the Furbyâs faceplate with hot glue or another adhesive. You can secure the bottom with elastic or glue it down.Â
Carl was my tester and I had to create a headband-type thing to hold his skin down as I cut the bottom part of his body too short, but the pattern his this problem all fixed so you shouldnât have to do that yourself. Also yes his feet are far apart, I didnât cut the holes according to my pattern because my scissors slipped so heâs just got a wide stance now!
Enjoy and Good luck!

Furby Hood Tutorial
Couple notes: This tutorial is just for the hood part of a jacket! The jacket I made using this tutorial by @furbmiester9000, which is adaptable for all furbys! Also, this tutorial is not for a plain hoodie. This if for a collared jacket that has a hood attached to it.Â
The only major change I made to the jacket was adding a spot for a tail, which ended up coming to about 2 inches tall and 1.5 inches wide, though youâll want to cut your hole smaller than that for seam allowance. I also curved the bottoms of the ends(blue arrows) so that it fit better over my furbys feet.
To get started on the hood, measure the length of your jacket, then put it on your furby and measure how high you want the hood to go from the fold of the collar. If you want to be able to take the hood off and have it sit comfortably around your furbys neck then make the height half of the length (e.g. my jacket came to about 12.5 inches so the height would be 6.25 inches). Otherwise itâll be kinda tight.
The hood is made up of two parts so halve your jacket length then draw out your hood shape on your fabric. I went with a square/rectangle shape with gave me a pointed looking hood. If you want a regular looking hood curve it. Look up different hood shapes and get creative!
Cut out two of those hood shapes, or four if you want your hood to have an inner lining. Remember to include seam allowance!
If you went with two pieces, sew the backside of the hood together.
If you went with four: Take two pieces, sew all but the backside together, then flip it inside out. Repeat with the other two pieces, then sew those two finished pieces together along the backside.
If you arenât making an inner lining for your hood, then you want to clean up the edges by either folding them in or using bias tape. You only have to do this for the 2 edges that are going to be visible around your furbyâs head and itâs up to you whether you want the fold on the outside or inside of the hood.
Next, mark the fold of the collar on your jacket. Then sew the bottom of the hood just below that line. Make sure youâre sewing the hood on the right way! The inside of the hood should be facing the same direction as the inside of the jacket.
Now you just have to sew the top of hood. Unless you went with a curved hood, in which case all you have to do now is make some ear holes!
For the ear holes, I just put the jacket on, found where the tips of the ears are, snipped a small hole, and then went from there. I recommend making very little cuts and checking after every cut that the fit is good. You donât want your holes too big or in the wrong spots.
As for finishing the hems on the ear holes⌠I actually didnât bother to finish mine lmao. If youâre worried about fraying or if you just want that professional finished look, you can fold them in and sew them up or you can use glue. Itâs up to you!
And thatâs it, your hood should be done! Hopefully this made enough sense and as always my ask box is open if you have any questions!
FURBY HAIR DYEING TUTORIAL
FURBY FUR DYEING TUTORIAL:
Hi everyone! Welcome to my Furby Tutorial! In this specific tutorial we will be dyeing the hair on the Furbyâs head and tail (this can also work for maned Furbys). EDIT: THIS TUTORIAL ALSO WORKS ON BODY FUR!!!! Please read the entire tutorial before dyeing your Furby with this method! Thank you!
BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE THAT CAN HELP YOU: Furbys have synthetic fur. Synthetic = PLASTIC. As you all know, most commercial dyes wonât work on a Furby very well. That is why we are going to use ACRYLIC PAINT to color our Furby! Keep reading!(also plz be aware that Nomiâs hair was dyed prior to this tutorial)
MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED: 1.) A glass of water 2.) A small vessel to mix your paint wash in 3.) Acrylic paint color of your choice (we are using metallic green for Nomi) 4.) A paintbrush (any medium sized flat or round brush will do) 5.) A toothbrush (CLEAN, preferably a clean used toothbrush) 6.) A Furby (thank you Nomi, for being our model and willing participant!) 7.) Paper towels (not pictured but you will need them.) 8.) Hair Dryer (optional but it can be very helpful; also not pictured)
Step One: Wash your hands! This is a great way to start a new art project!
Step Two: Create your wash/âdyeâ: this part looks daunting but is actually QUITE easy! We are going to make whatâs called a âpaint washâ- some of you artists may already be familiar with what this is! Itâs basically thinned-out paint. What you do is put a tiny bit of paint into your empty vessel (I used about the size of a dime) and add water to it until it becomes a mixture that I slightly more WATER than paint. For me, that was about a dime-sized paint blob with about 3-4 tablespoons of water. You want it to be RUNNY, not thick.
Step Three: Once you have made your wash, itâs time to get that âdyeâ on your Furb! Take your toothbrush and dampen it with the wash. Tap your wash-soaked toothbrush out on a paper towel to remove excess wash. This step is important because you want your toothbrush WET with paint but not SOAKING wet. Itâs best to start out first with a tiny dab of wash to play around with and then work your way up to a more saturated toothbrush.
Step Four: comb your wash through your Furbyâs hair. Itâs best to have your Furby ready to receive the wash, which means you should part the hair you wish to dye AWAY from the fur you do not wish to dye, so that there is minimal pigment transfer to the fur you do not wish to dye. (Tl;dr-part ya Furbyâs hair, yâall)
NOTE: See this hair clumping here? I did this on purpose to show what can happen when you have TOO MUCH wash on your toothbrush. You donât want this because it can take longer to dry and give your Furbyâs hair a matted look. (I mean, if you like this look by all means, go for it! Itâs your Furby, my dudes!) If this happens and you donât like it, just blot with a paper towel, tap off your toothbrush a bit, and continue combing the wash through the hair again!
Step Five: YOUR ROOTS ARE SHOWING?!
This is any easy way to cover roots! Just take your paintbrush and load it with a TINY bit of wash, then dab the wash into the hair roots and continue to comb through with the toothbrush! Ta-daaah!
NOTE: Keep a paper towel nearby cause YOUR HANDS GONNA GET PAINT ON âEM.
Step Six: Continue adding the wash into the hair and combing it through until you like what you see!
Step Seven (optional): Use a hair dryer to dry your Furbyâs hair!Â
This is for peeps who donât want to wait for the hair to fully dry before they handle their newly-dyed Furb! I also believe that this can help seal the pigment in better, as itâs actually melting the pigment of the paint into the shaft of the synthetic hairs. If you donât want to use this method, simply put your Furby in a place where they will be undisturbed until they are dry! (Please allow at least ONE HOUR for your Furby to air-dry if you donât use a hair dryer). While you dry, continue to brush the hair with the toothbrush to get rid of any remaining clumps!
FINAL STEP: admire your work! Well done!!
I hope this helps you guys! You can also use washes to dye eyelashes!!! Iâll be making a tutorial on how I do mine next! Thank you for your time!
A very unedited walkthrough for skinning a 2005 ⥠also sorry for the ever-present foot ^^; I donât normally film so this is long and weirdâ but I hope it helps!
