Sorry for the dumb question but what does the tag "safe furby" mean?

i believe its cus some real nasty people used a lot of toy tags for nsfw stuff so for awhile the furby tag had a lot of really creepy pics and such in it. it probably doesn’t anymore, but the furby fandom started using safe furby to get away from it and continue to share friendly content with one another.

today i made myself a new friend!! he's a little wonky because i was pretty loose with the patterns, but i love him very much! he's entirely made from fleece, felt & gingham that i had lying around in the craft cupboard :3c

i used @daftfurby & @pocket-furbs patterns and tutorials as a guide!! i kind of freehand drew them & didn't follow them super closely (hence his wonkiness lol), but they were both super helpful nonetheless!!
