mcu nathan is the son of bigwig s/ean pre/scott, but since his volatile nature and lack of ‘self control’ make him a less than ideal model son, he’s locked away in his own home, where sean pays people to try and ‘fix’ him. unfortunately, it doesn’t do much good- especially when the people sean is paying decide to use nathan as their guinea pig to create a new mutant. he has the ability to manipulate fire and cause explosions - but lacks control over it. he can accidentally ‘go off’ at any time, but especially when he’s overwhelmed. as a result of trying to get him not to blow up, sean gives him a gun in the hopes he’ll think to use that instead of making a scene by blowing up.
