The Drakos
the dragon riders of the east
Unlike the other nearby realms, Drakos does not have an overarching ethnicity. The people that call the Shattered Isles of the Drakonic kingdom home are a veritable melting pot, pulled from all corners of the world -- even lands beyond their neighbors, which means that there exists no belief of "strange" or "foreign" among their people. Though the practice has not been exercised in more than a century, the Drakos once "recruited" from all lands within the distance a dragon could fly, bolstering their numbers and leading to a very unique mix of cultures. Sadly, it is rumored that the dragonkin are growing fewer every year, and clutches are smaller still -- their very way of life seems at risk, and none are certain why.
INSPIRATION: the roman empire, dragonriders of pern, R.A. Steffan's dragonrider series, the targaryens
Teasers: uh dragons, extremely diverse in ways the other realms are not, do use some magics and the magic of the theravik and khaerians can be found among them as well due to ancestry, militaristic culture, language basis is latin-spoken and korean-written
