âI know her kind,â Myrtha spits the word out like a sour grape. Power, and the quest for it, are, by design, ravenous forces. Their ability to corrupt is as unstoppable and as dizzying as the black, churning depths of the ocean. No body, no cry, no history can stop the sea foam from filling the lungs of any who dare to dance with the waves.Â
She knows the kind well, as well as the power. It is to the victim of those waves that she has suffered, and become a victim herself.Â
âWho she is matters naught,â says Myrtha coldly as her eyes rake over the hanged man like a midwinterâs wind. âShe surrendered that when she betrayed you, along with any lingering trace of what she was to you and what you were to her.â
For a moment, her body seems to feign corporeality, and the flames lighting the disused passage gleam in her dark eyes. Her anger diverges in two. Part of her desires for massacre. She knows who this man is and what he has done and what he is capable of. Bloodbath is his specialty.Â
However, her own violent delights aside, there is vengeance to be exacted. Vendetta. What the woman with the hair of sugary beach sand committed was an act of barbarism, of which there is only one cure --- an even greater ruthlessness. Myrtha knows they must cut her allies down one by one until only she remains, waiting for her own fell with the blade. The bite of silver would never come, leaving her alone, with the weight of her guilt crushing her bones to powder.Â

Headcanon Meme
In life, Myrtha liked to collect seeds from fallen plants and flowers with the intention of planting them. However, she never found she could let any go, so they stayed in a small, wooden chest with rusting brass hinges and a fresco - style painting of Prosperina eating a pomegranate on it.
In death, Myrtha became something of a minimalist. Her epiphany at the futility of life and the meaninglessness of everything in it made an aversion for materialism in her. She saw no point in collecting things as she knew how easily they could be lost. Ironically enough, Myrtha almost embodied the idea of carpe diem, and she existed in the afterlife with that genre of reckless abandon, therefore shunning the concept of collection.Â
However, Myrtha does still have a blanket woven and used by her late lover, Iona, that she keeps in her bedchambers. It is rare when she sleeps with it, as, even though Myrtha can control her own physical constitution, she fears marring the lingering traces of her late love. Myrtha only snuggles with it when her mood has truly tanked, or when she finds she is losing her memories of Iona.
