I would say it's a sign of age, but that isn't true because I was a pretentious youth and now an overly formal... not... youth?
I also told myself I'd abandon talking so formally but I think I've done the opposite. :-(
Which is alright, of course. What better way to rediscover the majesty of night than being routinely taken aback by it?
I'm, miraculously, still not used to nighttime. 😌
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: the consistent struggle of remaining indoors in dim lighting for hours only to nearly blind myself upon going outside because my pupils have dilated to such an intense degree.
I’m pleasantly surprised this time around. The last time I deigned to spread that picture around I got more comments about my ears than anything else.

What are you worried about?
At the time the photograph was taken, I was seized by a very single-minded focus to prevent one world-ending calamity or another, haha.

Hm. Never been good with faces, anyway.
That’s certainly alright - I admit I have a bit of a consistently “worried” expression on my face, which might be what you’re pinpointing. :-)
Sad? Certainly not - at the time I was nervous, certainly, but maybe not sad. It’s hard to recall - it’s an older picture.
Thank you for the compliments. :-) I’m glad I’m up to snuff.
I already showed this image to one other, so I may as well.
This is outdated at this point, but since it’s the only one I have...
We are each on different roads . Our journeys may look different, but by following what is best for each of us and our authentic self we find a place that is meant for us. That place is for you, and no one can take it from you, and you will get there in your own time. You might even find that there are more than one place that suits you, speaking to different parts of you, but all places where you feel whole. 🌸
