Alveris’s Yuletide dress ended up being mine, obviously. He seems to like it better on me, hehe.

I’m not super sure… I would say it can do some.. darker things than a brighter stone, but I’m not sure. I’ll try it when no one is around, that way, if I have an Alma moment, we can just blame it on her hehehehe. *grins from ear to ear*

Nah, I wouldn’t do that to her. Heavens bless her, she has a rough go with magic. I don’t think anybody could have her bad luck with magic. And the funny thing is, she’s never hurt anyone, that I’m aware of anyway.

So what do you have planned for this afternoon? I could give you a little magic demonstration, if you’d like. Something simple that won’t scare you half to death. We’ll get to that later.

It’s quite helpful to know, and easy to learn!

Those elves were ruthless, I need a health potion. The miserable, bottom-feeding fools tried to KILL me! And all I did was a pick a flower…Apparently that flower was the holy, sanctified flower, and I had the audacity to pick it. Sure, there was a field full, but this flower *pulls from sack* THIS flower is the great flower of the Western Field apparently! So anyhow, sorry for being so late, and for scaring you. I was glad Feef was there in case you got too upset. *smiles at Feef*

Has it really been that long? All that silly time travel makes it hard to keep track. And don't worry about it, it's fine.

If that's how they are about a flower, I'm glad they've never met my mother.

Yes, I suppose you could call him a shapeshifter. Except, in my past experiences, they don’t have the affinity for magic he does. He could almost take my places as Grand Mage. In fact, when I die, I expect he will. *feels low rumble that sounds like its coming from the bowels of the world* Oh dear… Alma de Sainte-Coquille must be trying magic again… *bows and shakes head while laughing heartily* That girl… Y’know, usually the rumbles aren’t quite that deep.

Aydyn should be home soon. I know I keep saying that, but it’s hard to judge his mind while he’s in owl form. Don’t tell him I know that though! I want him to think I always have tabs on him hohoho!

Now, *grabs wand and makes a motion causing a book to fall from the sky, appearing from nothingness, and landing on the table in front of Feef* Open it up. As you can see, Aydyn was an interesting child. He grew rapidly, but had always had a curious look about him. He has always had a keen interest in flight. When He was about 7 years old, we first discovered his "ability". He had climbed in a tree one day and I was calling him in for supper. He was an excitable kid, you see, and he proceeded to leap from the tree, I suppose thinking some magic barrier would be there to catch him, I don't know. Anywho, momentarily he took on the form of a large owl, similar in shape to a snowy owl, but without a doubt Aydyn. He flew himself to the ground, and when, well, I suppose when he realized he was okay, he returned to a normal Dwarven boy. I took a keen interest on the subject, searching high and low for information, with the elders and the mages, traversing between realms, even consulting with the trolls, but alas, it was to no avail. In fact, we still have no idea why he can do it! *juts finger into air*

Since that day, he has practiced extensively, and can call upon this ability at will. He wields a staff like myself, as he's also a young sorcerer. *flails wand about some more and the book disappears, subsequently, tables come marching into the room, carrying the tea*

So now you know! He should be able to explain further when he arrives home which should be any moment now...
