Yumeko was a girl who always seemed to have her head in the clouds. Ever since she was little she had a hard time staying awake. She would be diagnosed with Narcolepsy when in reality it was so much more.

She was born with a special gift to dream walk. A power that allows one to travel through dreams and manipulate them at will. However while using this power she doesn't get a long rest herself, so when she wakes up after using it she always winds up tired and exhausted. She barely scraped by in school because of this, probably one of the lowest in her class, but she at the very least manages to graduate.

As she goes into her adult life she winds up getting her hands on her own little bookstore where she sells and rents books to customers.

Just like that she made a nice gold belt appear around his waist. Yusuke glanced down to take a look at the plate that possessed his face on it. "Whoa what kinda magic spell was that?? And how'd ya get into the ring?? Are ya some kinda special guest ref??"

"Heh you bet I am!~ I'm Sato Yumeko, the best and cutest ref you've ever seen!~" She announces while ripping off her clothes to reveal her cutesy referee outfit. "I'm here to congratulate the hero titan Urameshi for winning the championships!" Taking control of his dream even further a microphone falls from the ceiling and lands in her hand. "Tell me get Urameshi, what do you plan to do now that you won? Throw a party? Got a special girl to celebrate with? If not why not take me home?~"

♚ ❝ I wonder how long it is before you knew you could walk into people's dreams. ❞ To stay back for remedial lessons though? His face changes to one of slight shock at Sato not believing him. ❝ Hey, I'm not lying! It's part of the reason I have these robes and sword in the first place. ❞ His explanation seemed simple enough.

❝ This is... partly why I end up ditching classes, my grades are still somehow above average though. ❞ Words stop upon hearing her say there's another presence with them. ❝ You can sense that? ❞

When did she figure it out? Well that was a good question. If she thought about it.... It must have been in middle school. "Hmmm I didn't realize it until I walked into one of Orihime's dreams. And the next day I overheard her share the exact same dream I saw with our classmates."

"Hm? Oh yeah for sure. It's kinda hard to pinpoint how many are here but I definitely sense another presence here. They chill? Or should I like, fear for my life?" It was weird, it felt similar to him yet entirely different at the same time. Like something more.... Primal? Ahh crap she's not sure she really should have tried to study more.

Out of all the different beings he has met, a dream walker was the first ━ and he was more than glad for it be Sato over anyone else. ❝ Wait... is that why you're always called on by the teachers during class and told to stay back? ❞ He would ponder this a bit more before answering her. ❝ Me? I'm... a god of death that protects humans within Karakura Town and helps guide any souls to the afterlife. ❞

"Heh heh yeaaah pretty much. The docs make me take medicine but it doesn't really do much. I end up having to stay back for remedial lessons practically every day." She does blink when he tells her 'what' he was. "A god? I never you knew you had that kind of complex Kurasaki..... I heard you could see ghosts and stuff but claiming to be a god and protecting the whole town? You gotta admit that sounds just a liiiiittle bit crazy." Coming from a girl who just walked into his dreams she was really the pot calling the kettle black here.

"Well if that's what you are then I guess I gotta believe it, never have ya been known for being a liar at school..... A pretty bad ditcher you are though. Kinda jealous how you manage to keep your grades up despite skipping classes so often...... Huh that's weird.... I feel another presence in here. Is that normal for your dreams?"

♚ ❝ Di-! ❞ He knows that's not exactly what she meant, yet comments like that still managed to take him aback. ❝ You didn't mean to end up here, yet here you are... somehow. You wanna start explaining, Sato, or are you the type to just give me crumbs to keep me guessing? ❞

Hehe that got him a little bit~ His reactions were cute no wonder his classmates liked to tease him in good nature. "Yeah so, well I guess cats outta the bag now.... I've got this little power that lets me control dreams and wander into other people's dreams too! I haven't quite figured out how to control it yet though. Hence why I tend to miss school cause I have a hard time waking up or even staying awake.... What's with the robes by the way? You look like you're going to see a funeral."

"Wow Kurosaki you dream of me? That's so cute~" She giggles and gives him a playful wink but when he doesn't react Yumeko drops the act. "In my defense.... Didn't mean to end up here... Sick dreamscape by the way." She remarks as she stands against the windows of the tall city scape.

@fuwxyume sent an ask: It was a harrowing battle, but Yusuke was able to defeat Sensui thanks to Kuwabara unlocking his powers and freeing his friends from his lovers dimension. But they managed to stop the portal to the Makai from being opened and with that peace returned to the city and he was able to return to school to his daily life. School was still a bore but after the near death experience it gives a sense of perspective. Just as the school bell rang, the other students around him got up to leave, all except for one girl who was staring at the twilight sky.

"2 hours left..." She spoke to herself before looking away from the window to stare at the delinquent. "What would you do if you only had that much time left?" As brown eyes stare into his own there was a strange clarity in them. Strange..... didn't that girl usually look tired all the time? "C'mon Yusuke!" The sound of Keiko's voice pierces through the strange quiet and the moment he looks back, the ginger girl was gone. "We better hurry if we don't want to miss the movie! You get to pick this time but I swear it better not be a dirty movie!" She gives him a glare before she leaves the classroom. Strange... Did Keiko always wear perfume?

Oh..that’s the sleepy girl..Yumeko he thinks her name was. The girl who pretty much used to hone in on his spot on the roof. But was she doing here?? Wait where was here? Oh..that’s right he’s in school. “Hey yo-” Before he’s able to fully commit to his sentence his ears caught the familiar sound of Keiko’s voice and thus he turned to face her. Ah crap..today was a day for their date, that’s right.

Man his head definitely isn’t screwed on completely today, first he’s dozing off in cla- okay that wasn’t strange, but what’s funny is him being in class in the first place..long enough to hear the bell to leave as well. By now, he’d have gotten detention “Yeah..” He spoke, there was a hint of uncertainty with his answer, but he stuck to it, still couldn’t shake the feeling that something was out of place. 

“Aww man..well, i’ll make sure it isn’t anything chesy either. Might wind up napping there too.” Yusuke said as he began following her out of the classroom, but turned to take a look at the sleepy student..however, SHE’S GONE and without a trace. And that smell..Keiko smelled sweet..and not the fruity shampoo in her hair, but more like..very very alluring perfume. Was this all for the date??

The sweet scent lingers, as if it was following him. It wasn't just on Keiko it was everywhere. As they left the school building the other students waved and smiled. At both of them. 'By Keiko! See ya tomorrow Yusuke!' Their classmates would wave them goodbye.

From the top of the school roof she would watch him leave. There was nothing she could do. It was up to him to break the gilded cage she made for him. "Sensui..... You better keep your promise." She pulled her knees close as she watched him carefully. Even as he left her line of sight she knew exactly where he was. This was a world of her own making.

"Oh come on you owe me this date! Especially for flaking out on me like last time." Keiko points out with a pout before it turns into a grin. "I promise you'll love this one, it just came out." As they reach the theaters she pays for their tickets without even asking for the name of the film. The same happens when she pays for the popcorn and soda. No order just receiving exactly what they both wanted. "The movie's about a wrestler who keeps getting paid off to lose but he manages to actually get close to the championships so he puts his everything to win despite the odds against him." Keiko whispers a brief description of the movie before it starts to play.

The movie plays out like normal. A middle aged wrestler who keeps taking knockout after knockout. But there were.... Striking similarities. Some of the fighters looked like people he knew. And in a certain light.... The main protagonist looked like Yusuke.

In the crowd of cheering fans there was a bright head of orange hair. It was her. But how? As if sensing his eyes Yumeko on the screen turned her head to look directly at him.

"one hour left....."

HE’d chuckle before rolling himself ontop of her once more, letting her get a good look at his face..not to mention it made him all the more dominant in the moment. “I want ya t’ listen t’ me..listen real closely too.” His voice was even serious for a moment before a hand reaches upward to give her nose a small and gentle pinch and a grin returns on his face.

“I’m in my twenties and you were the first t’ get rid of my virginity. I’ve been through clubs, on the streets in red-light districts and I never fell for any of their flaunts then..and I’m not gonna fall for the flaunts of college kids in the states either. Because yer the one that I like which is precisely why ya gotta get outta here. Think about it..we get caught fuckin’ one time..even twice. What’s that gonna do?? Nothin’..students will be students..hormonal at that. They’ll just toss us back into our own dorms and slap a couple days of whatever punishment they have t’ dish out.” 

His words were soft as he’d lean forward to steal a kiss from her lips. “But if they found out you’ve been stayin’ here..well then we’d be screwed. This is the only school that was willin’ t’ take me. Understand that the entirety of Japan saw my rap sheet and said ‘screw you’. If I want that restaurant..this is my last chance. But don’t get me wrong-” That’s when he pauses once more to pepper her neck with kisses. “I choose you-” Another kiss. “Over a restaurant.” Then another along her chest. “Anyday-” One last one upon her lips.

“But I’m gonna wonder if I actually had what it takes t’ hack the college life. Besides..I know exactly who t’ ask t’ be your roommate..and you’d be perfect for her too. A lil work-aholic on the cheerleading squad. She could use some time catchin’ a few Zs.”

Damn him pinning her to the bed. He knew acting dominant like this was her weakness!! It always left her with butterflies in her stomach and her legs feeling like jelly.. ack! her nose!!

She was bewitched and forced to listen to him talk all while he bribed her with kisses. Ugh..... She hated the idea of having to move out but.... He did have a point. And it wasn't just because those kissey bribes were working. Ugh how dare his lips feel this nice and intoxicating? Stupid hot demon punk....

"Mmmm..." She pouts before letting out a small sight of defeat. "Ok.... Just cause I want ya to graduate and get your degree I'll behave and move out. But you have to promise to bring me lunch every day." Her greed was truly sickening.

"Oh she's a workaholic? Heh not when I move in with her. She won't be able to run away from the best sleep of her life."

“Babe..I don’t think it works like that..” He remembered something about them saying the reason he was made a yokai was because it’s always been in the blood of his family..his ancestors. Not to mention only s-ranked demons possessed the skill to even do that..soo unless she had one some time in the family she’s opted to just remain human. “Though the gesture’s pretty nice of ya..but I’ll be fine..really I will..give me a couple of centuries and I’ll move on.” He says with a smile on his face.

“Oh Lord Yusuke, and of course Lady Yumeko.” Hokushin greets them both within their little shared apartment back at home. “I hope that you’ll forgive me but I couldn’t help but overhear your dilemma.” The monk said. Naturally some day of the month they would show up and present Yusuke with little portions of human meat, bad humans as Yusuke puts it. 

They would also invite him back for training sessions in order to train his newfound strength. But it seemed that he possessed the answer to their dilemma. “There’s something you can do as an S-class demon yourself Lord Yusuke, you could give her a demon mark. It is a magical seal that will manifest on her skin, commonly on the stomach (but her hand for this one cause gudako fc). It is a physical manifestation that connects her to you, it’s only side effects are the brief moments where you’ll be able to hear her thoughts. Although it differs from person to person.” Said Hokushin.

“From person t’ perso- wait..you mean it’s a tramp stamp?? That means I can give it to more than one person??” He’s rather furious with the idea..gaining the ability to hear her thoughts?? That’s..no an invasion of privacy. “I’d never ask her t’ do this.” Said Yusuke.

“The effects of it is that it links her life to yours. She will remain as is the day she receives the mark and would live out her days merrily with you. The side effects are just something that occur periodically.”

"Oh hey there uncle!" The first time he visited he definitely startled her. In the beginning she thought Yusuke somehow got scammed into getting involved with a cult or something. All it took as for him spend an afternoon explaining he was in fact a demon and more importantly that Yusuke was a demon prince. It explained all those dreams where he sat on an ominous looking throne. And she was surprisingly open minded about him having to eat people. 'so long is its not innocent people it's fine right? It's not like you can help it.' A progressive way thinking about it.

"Hmmm would I also get to hear his thoughts? It'd be pretty useful if we get separated and didn't have our phones..." While Yusuke was worried about her privacy, she was busy thinking about the convenience of it all. "It's not like I have anything to hide anyways. Anything I'd say in my head I would say out loud in front of you if we weren't public." And she was open to saying a LOT in public.

"That's not actually that bad of a deal. I was expecting like I'd have to eat human meat for the rest of my life.... Which wouldn't be the worst I heard they taste a lot like pork and I do love pork."

"Is it irreversible uncle? Like say... We try it and find the side effect is too much to handle," Which she doubts. "Would he be able to remove it?"

It took a lot of work to find the old painting they had stashed away of her great grandmother but it was supposed to depict her with her true love, was what her grandmother told her when she was little. Who would have thought it was literally because the only thing in the painting was her grandmother and a Baku.

He remembered the first arrangement, neither of them were seeing anyone and since they’re going to be cooped up together in his dorm all hot and bothered because of each other’s presence, then they should simply scratch the itch. It was..a wild thing to suggest, but Yusuke sensed there was probably a hidden motive behind that little arrangement. But he was horny and she came with the great option.

Not to mention the sex helped keep his demonic hunger at bay, and night after night. Whether he was awake, or asleep, the two would engage in passionate sex. Wilder times were done within their dreamscape in order to avoid making too much noise and perhaps causing damage to the entire dorm itself.

And now after another sinful rendezvous, she expresses how much that this was so much more than sex for her. “Heh, that’s funny because I remembered you pretty much tellin’ me that I wasn’t allowed t’ fall in love with ya after our first time.” Though..he probably did fall for her some time along the way because she became incredibly addictive. “Nothin’ in the school rules that say we couldn’t date..though ya still wouldn’t be allowed in here either way..but if we’re gonna go out with one another..then we better get you your own space.” Couples getting together on campus? Totally normal, couple seen everywhere else close to curfew? That’s a problem.

She never expected the little arrangement to spiral as much as it has. But it turns out they were both equally pent up had similar tastes. It was only natural where almost every night they felt up each other and even their dreams weren't safe. Maybe one day they'll be able to try out one of those weird dreams in real life...

"H-hey I said that as a joke ok? Mostly because I didn't think you'd actually catch feelings for me..." The ginger pouts as she rubs her shoulder that was practically littered in hickies and love bites he left on her.

"Wha—I'd have to move out?? Noooo but I love living here!!!" How quick the ginger was to start pouting and throwing a tantrum the moment he mentioned the idea about having to move out. "What if girls start going after you because you're now forbidden? And I'm not here to catch them? I may be hot but some of the girls on campus are way out of my league I'll be no match!!"

It's always a blessing to hear others enjoying his meal especially when the person expresses living their life as a bum to mooch off his cooking and hospitality. "How'd ya expect me t' get a girlfriend if she's gonna come over only t'find out I've already got a hottie at home??"

He asked with a smile on his face before joining her. A light hum left him as Yusuke does enjoy his own cooking just as much. Honestly, who needed to go out to eat when he can pretty much match any cook in his own kitchen? We'll most cooks. "Though shhh try not t' make too much noise..yer not exactly allowed t' be living with me."

"Sounds like you're gonna be single for the rest of your life then~" She giggles before she finishes off the rest of her bowl of miso and goes into the next dish.

"Huh? Oh right! Crap sorry..." Yumeko's voice grows quiet as she sheepishly rubs the back of her head and apologizes. Right she wasn't allowed to be crashing with him since the dorms didn't allow mixed housing. "So... What's the plan for today?"

"Me..of all people. Well you'd be the first kiss I've ever had consciously." The technicality was indeed important but getting back to business. While Hiro did present her as a treat, he'll still have work to do and soon.

"Well, considering I'm still technically on the clock." Yusuke paused as he slowly removed his jacket after standing up, next thing to leave him was his dress shirt thay was then placed onto the floor to show off his body.

Oh so much of him had changed since the last time he's seen her in a dream. His body had definitely gotten harder, but there are also numerous scars located along his arms, abdomen, and chest. They looked like old puncture wounds. "I'll skip ahead for ya so I can give ya my best..first too."

"Heh if it makes you better it'd be the same for me." All of her experience was in her dreams. Her actual body had never even had it's first kiss yet. So needless to say there was a part of her that was nervous.

Come on 'meko it'll be fine! You've got plenty of practice in your dreams. You're gonna blow his mind with an amazing kiss and then you're gonna make him feel so good that he falls for you and asks you out,

It was wishful thinking but Yumeko was nothing if not an idiotic optimist.

He's gotten more rugged over the years, and what were those scars for? Now she wasn't a detective but those looked like bullet wounds.... What the hell did Yusuke get into over the years? As much as she wanted to stare and drool at him, he did mention he was on the clock. So as much as she wanted to savor this moment she knew time was of the essence.

"I'll make sure to give ya my best." She walks closer to wrap her arms around his neck and plants her lips against. The taste of his lips was nothing unfamiliar to the ginger, but there was something different about it in real life. It was so warm... And she could taste the menthol on his lips. He must have had a smoke before coming inside. She never liked the smell of cigarettes but this.... Maybe this was something she could get use to.

Handsome face…there was nothing like that here..not within the depth of this abyss, where Yusuke was nothing more than just a monster. The thing that he truly is..and yet here’s this girl..is that Yumeko?? It’s been really trippy how he’s seein her face in his dreams lately. Still- “This is all that’s left of me..his voice was silent..possibly even broken.

"All that's left of ya? Well its hard to see under all the hair ya got... Hold on." What she lacked in physical strength, her mental more than made up for it. Using her power over dreams she summons a pair of scissors and began to snip away at the mess he's become. "Why do ya think that way? Is it.... Because of Keiko?" She heard through the grapevine that Keiko gave up on Yusuke about a year or so ago.

"Well... You gotta admit she's never been the most patient person in the world." An airy chuckle leaves her lips as she continues to snip. "But just because it didn't work out.... It doesn't mean that those feelings are wasted or completely gone. She still cares about you even if she's decided she can't be with ya anymore.... It's not like you regret lovin' her right? I know she doesn't." It wasn't her place to say any of this, hell she and Keiko never even went to the same high school, but she would hear her talk to her friends at the diner when she'd come there to eat and at night.... She'd hear her dreams and the regrets she carried.

"I could understand her reason but if it were me I'd wait for ya t'ill I'm old and gray."

"Are ya serious?? I'm literally giving you an out." That's usually what the new night girls loved to hear, or at least he expected they'd like to hear they weren't going to be used for the night. But here she is, practically doing everything in her power to make sure that something happens.

"A guy you liked?? Who me?? Should've said something in the past year." He spoke as he flicked her forehead. Though it was more of a gentle flick this time around. "I've never had sex with a human before. Being what I am now ya might get hurt."

"Heh yeah I kinda had the biggest crush on you back then, when I heard you were single I thought maybe I'd have a chance and reach out but.... I dunno it didn't feel right. That and you're real hard to find awake." Even more so when he just casually faked his death. Who does that?!

"If you were literally anyone else I'd be like 'hell yeah get the hell outta here' but you're the one guy I'd actually want to do it with.... And awake. If I gotta lose feeling in my legs and use a damn wheelchair to get around it'd be worth it."

"That was just the first day, give it a week and you'd be begging to be a bum or something." He said jokingly, but his life is kind of hectic even within the reaches of Hawaii, it seems trouble never seems to leave him be. "But I'm glad ya enjoy my cooking. Though I'm not always here during the day soo they'll be leftovers in the fridge If you wanna be lazy and eat something heavy."

"For real!? Well consider me a happy bum then!~ I hope you're ready to never be able to get rid of me." She grins from ear to ear before she starts to eat the meal he carefully prepared. "Uwaaaah sugei.... Oh man this is so good, yet you're stuck with me now I'm gonna be that little parasite you'll never be able to get rid of now." She was grinning from ear to ear as some miso dripped down her chin. Hoo boy she sure was a messy eater when she got into it.

Hmmm maybe she could try making him something to eat for dinner? As much as she wants to be a bum, she knows her mom would rake her over the coals for being a bad guest.
