        “Please, don’t make me repeat myself darling.” It makes her terribly irritable if anything. Besides, once she set her mind to something, once she settled on an idea, that was it. He would realize hat soon enough. “No, but I’m sure you’ll think of something sooner or later, besides you’ve got time don’t you think? But we’ll be staying at my apartment instead, the villa is too— irritating.”

       Who was he to argue when she's willingly offering up her home as a place to stay while he was in Korea? A little entertainment wouldn't hurt him. Besides, he often found himself wanting to entertain others, smiling faces gave him a sense of accomplishment and happiness within himself. "Do you have an extra room in your apartment?"

      Subin usually just cooked for       herself and just some friends,       but only when it was needed.       ”Hm, I could make you some       bibimbap? That’s my favorite       dish to cook anyways.”

       He smiles in response to her         food suggestion and then nods.        It would be nice to taste her        home cooking.

                         "Then we can eat that.                           I could help you."

          Hugging the plastic bag filled           with her books, she ran her           fingers through her hair before           glancing back at him with her           eyes slightly squinted.

                       ❝ …maybe. ❞

            "Tsk, tsk."

                      He couldn't blame her though.                       Food was a perfect bargaining                       offer that many used to get                        their way. Of course, he would                       only use it on friendly terms.

                                     "Lead the way then.                                       Free food awaits."

✧ - “It’s a pleasure.” She small chuckle leaving her lips at his next words.” A meeting that wasn’t near the scene of a crash right?” She purses her lips together as she shrugs. “Although you must admit that it isn’t different from most first meetings.”

       It wasn't a favorable meeting. Someone crashed, got hurt, who knows what condition they were in and if they would even live. She came out of nowhere and startled him from his own thoughts regarding his brother. He wouldn't forget such a meeting, at the very least. "I feel like we should do something to bring the mood up. There's a coffee shop on the corner, we could go grab something to drink."

And sometimes it hits me out of nowhere. All of a sudden this overwhelming sadness rushes over me. And I get discouraged and I get upset and I feel hopeless, sad and hurt. And once again, I feel numb to the world.

          With her nose slightly scrunched           up, she held onto his hand tightly           and pushed herself off the ground,           frowning a bit. Though, she imme           —diately pulled away and huffed,           trying to cover her flustered cheeks.           Nodding, she grumbled under her           breath while straightening her clothes           before shooting him a glare

                   ❝ Tch, you’re so slow, that’s why.                                 Let’s go, I’m hungry. ❞

          She mumbled, stomping her way out           of the store, hoping that no one saw           her clumsy side.

     When she got to her feet,       he followed her shortly       after, returning to his original      height. A hand runs through      his hair at her words and       he pulls a grin. Following      behind her, he had an       amused expression on,      one that couldn't be beat.

                         "-- did you agree to this                          because you wanted me                          to buy you food?"

                    “No…” 

                   The question was hardly profound,                    yet Iris found it entirely so. To sue                    a man for taking an innocent snap                    was something her CEO would                    find certain sadistic pleasure in yet                    Iris didn’t believe in ruining one’s life                    over a photo— especially since she                    walked into this man’s viewfinder.                    Her visage a picture of apathy, she                    rose a slender finger towards the camera.

                   ”I just want to see how it came out,                     if you don’t mind showing me.”

       It had been an accident, he was        merely trying to shoot the scenery        in front when she got in the way.         A finger rubs against his nose in        thought before he nods a little,        lowering the camera to show her        the photo. It wasn't a very good        one and would likely require to        be deleted. The floral decoration        that stood off to the side would        have to wait to get another shot.

                   "I was trying to take a picture                     of the flowers. The color                      pallet is nice and would work                      for inspiration, so.."

  “Ah Jie, that’s easy to pronounce. Do you mind if I ask where you are from?” She swings her legs a little, forward and back, while her head bobs from side to side.

    "I'm from Taiwan," he replies with a soft smile, thinking of his homeland. Though he lived in several other places, Taiwan would always be where he considered his home. That's where his family resided. "What about you? Have you always lived here?"

          Making her way back to           the front, Jaeun had failed           to notice the small stool           next to the counter and soon           enough, she ran into the           object, causing her to stumble           forward. With wide eyes, she           shrieked loudly while flailing           her free arm around, hoping           to regain her balance but           instead, she fell on her bottom,           a soft pout plastered on her lips.

                 ❝ Ah… stupid stool.. ❞

       Ah Jie had made his way to        the front just in time to witness        her falling to the ground. He        had made an attempt to reach        her in time, but she had fallen        before he arrived. He moves         to where she sits and gets        down to her level, a hand         automatically reaching out        to look her over for any marks.

                           "Are you okay?"

       》 “Wait really?” She blinks in surprise, it isn’t everyday a stranger is willing to offer to help with one’s homework. “Do you know anything about like American History?” She looks down at the books in her arms. Rather than taking the typical Korean history classes, she thought that it would be cool to learn about America.  ”Like right now we’re learning about how they found America and…uh…I forgot what else happened.” 

   "I know some of it, yes-- is it the American Revolution? Or are you talking about the Vikings? In any case, I'm sure these books have a lot of information in them. And not to mention, the internet has everything else if there's still questions left unanswered. I can help you sift through them if you'd like."

It’s back to reality and out of the mess of data that makes up the air in front of him. The guy seems really down about being lost, and apparently about being a foreigner or at least his body language suggest as much and Kikwang thinks he should throw him a bone or something. So he gestures for the stranger to follow him and heads to the left ( not the right, it was the left after all ) in the direction of the place he’d been thinking of.

" Don’t look so down guy. It’s totally cool. You like vegetables? Because that’s my area of expertise." 

   When he notices the other starting to walk, he follows behind him without much of a word. Eyes are glued to his back when he speaks. "-- my name is Ah Jie." Vegetables? Why was he bringing food into the matter? "I do, they taste the best when they're raw though. Unless you're a good chef. Why..?"

✧ - She hummed in response – trying to bite back a smile from hearing the bitterness in his voice. She was all too familiar with alcohol and the problems that it caused, even though it never affected her she had witnessed countless of people fall victim to it. Watching on in amusement as they would slowly destroy themselves with it. “Sorry for interrupting then. I’m Ap…” She cleared her throat looking at the scene as people rushed around. “I’m Youngji.”

   His hand grips the strap of his bag as his eyes lower momentarily. At her introduction, he moves his eyes up, back to her face. There's a small smile thrown in her direction. "I'm Ah Jie. Kind of wish our first meeting was different though."

      It's been a while since he's       had another cook's meal.        The last time was when        Kai Qi cooked for him,       and that was in Taiwan.

                          "Do you know what you                            want to cook for me?"

      He was a cutie pie, at least when he smiled. She wonders if that smile was the reason for her offer. “No need to pay me,” she’s got more than enough bothersome people in her debt. “Just provide some entertainment alright, it gets stuffy at that damned villa. We can stay there or my apartment your choice.”

         "Are you sure?" He looks over at her with slightly wide eyes, surprised that she wouldn't want him to pay for his stay. "Entertainment? Did you have something in mind?" He blinks at the compromise, lowering his head to focus on the pavement below his feet. "Hmm.. wherever you feel comfortable letting me stay."
