This book is Christian biased, but the idea of measuring a political, religious, or world belief system by the level of personhood within that system seems to be a good measure. Makes one look at their own. Very healthy.
book is full of graphs, charts, and photographs. Explores in depth: hand prints, foot prints, body impressions, DNA, and some Native American stuff too. Very good book.
biography of Dr. J. Allen Hynek. He is the guy who came up with the close encounters of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd kind measure. He was in charge of USA radar defense during sputnik. Steven Spielberg used this guy’s work for Close Encounters of the Third kind movie. A must read.

Smelly Cat
by Phoebe Buffay-Hannigan
Smelly cat, smelly cat what are they feeding you? Smelly cat, smelly cat it's not your fault...
They won't take you to the vet. You're obviously not their favorite pet. You may not be a bed of roses, And you're no friend to those with noses.
Smelly cat, smelly cat what are they feeding you? Smelly cat, smelly cat it's not your fault!
Trees
Joyce Kilmer. 1886–1918 I think that I shall never see A poem lovely as a tree. A tree whose hungry mouth is prest Against the sweet earth's flowing breast; A tree that looks at God all day, And lifts her leafy arms to pray; A tree that may in summer wear A nest of robins in her hair; Upon whose bosom snow has lain; Who intimately lives with rain. Poems are made by fools like me, But only God can make a tree.
The New Colossus
By Emma Lazarus, 1883
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame, With conquering limbs astride from land to land; Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame. "Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
