I did a thing
Sometimes I art
Sometimes I take cool pictures of the sky. What can I say?
âHeâs just a boy!â đ
I solemnly swear that I am up to no good..
Harry Potter
The biggest problem with the Harry Potter moviesâŠhow do I put this?
They substituted too many original book scenes with new scenes but those new scenes did nothing to add to the atmosphere of Harry Potter. If anything, it ruined the atmosphere. And youâre left wondering why they had to add those scenes and why they didnât keep the original scenes to begin with?
Like for example, look at Ron and Hermioneâs relationship.
Deathly Hallows Part I added the scene where Ron and Hermione are playing the piano and a scene where Ron and Hermione are skipping rocks.
But the movie excluded the scene where Ron told Hermione that she could change her surname to Weasley and that he and his family would hide her because they loved her, because he loved her, and they would do anything to protect her.
Or look at how they changed the kiss. Why? Why was it necessary for them to randomly kiss after being chased by a Voldemort tidal wave? Why couldnât they keep the original scene where Ron talked about how they needed to save the house-elves? Of course, it wouldnât really make sense, because they never showed Hermioneâs obsession with the house-elves to begin with.
Actually, thatâs one of the biggest issues with Movie!Hermione. The problem isnât that Emma Watson was too pretty. The problem was that the movies focused on Hermioneâs perfection and her ability to always have an answer to the scene, instead of focusing on her anxiety under pressure or her obsessiveness or any other negative trait.
And donât get me started on the butchering of Ronâs character.
Or look at Harry and Ginnyâs relationship in the books verses the movies. The movies added a scene where Harry zipped up Ginnyâs dress but they neglected to add the scene where they had a heart-to-heart talk about how difficult it was to maintain a relationship during war times and how they were putting their relationship on hold, even though it was hard, because they truly loved each other.
I could just start listing specifics.
Like how the Prisoner of Azkaban added the Monster Book of Monsters scene and the choir scene and the candyâŠsmokeâŠears scene but they didnât add the scene where Sirius and Remus briefly explained their backstory or the scene where Sirius enters the tower to get Peter or the scene where Dumbledore and Harry talk about Pettigrewâs life-debt.
The Goblet of Fire movie added so many unnecessary scenes and cut out about Ÿ of the scenes from the book in order to do so.
Order of the Phoenix put in a bunch of filler and ended up reducing the DA training to a montage with upbeat music.
The Half Blood Prince added all of these filler scenes for the sake of humor or filler but failed to really show Tom Riddleâs backstory. They added the scene where the Death Eaters attacked the Burrow but failed to add the extensive final battle in Hogwarts. They made sure to show every single moment of Harry getting high from Felix Felicis but never showed him coming to terms with the prophecy.
They even messed up the final battle between Harry and Voldemort. I mean, it was epic but they justâŠmessed up.
Or just look at the Princeâs Tale. They literally changed every single scene and in doing so, they completely missed the point of Snapeâs character.
They completely missed the points of a lot of characters.
They werenât bad, per say, but they justâŠwerenâtâŠaccurate. And as much as I love them, thereâs also a part of me that wishes that they could have come closer to capturing the character and atmosphere of Harry Potter.
When Al was paired with, Scorpius Malfoy, for their ancient runes project, he was anxious. For many reasons, one Al had a small crush on him - when he says small; he means all consuming, but he tried not to think about it. Two he panicked about looking stupid in front of the Ravenclaw. He himself wasnât stupid, not by any means - but when he was around the blond, he just lost the ability to function like a human being.
After a couple of study sessions in the library, it was decided that they needed to work on the project over the half term break. Especially if they wanted to get a decent grade on the project.
Al had agreed before he had even thought of the consequences.
Now it was half term, and the day he arranged to go to Malfoy Manor, and meet Scorpius.
For some strange reason he was told to have someone side-apparate him to the manor gates. He didnât understand why he couldnât just use the floo. Maybe the Malfoyâs wanted to make a statement. Who knew.
His dad dropped him off, and with a smile on his face and a tone of voice clearly fighting back amusement, wished him luck.
The gates themselves were intimidating, and as Al glanced up at the sky; it was dark and gloomy.
The gates opened in their own and Al tentatively stepped forwards.
He made his way towards the foreboding manor, trying to not think about any of the Malfoyâs; especially the youngest one.
He heard a noise and sharply turned his head to look for the cause. It was a couple of white peacocks. He laughed - they werenât scary, in fact they were beautiful. He stopped to admire them. One of them moved towards him, itâs back feathers spreading out as it advances on him. Al didnât like how quick it was moving. He started walking again, a little faster than his previous pace.
He reached the door, and was about to knock, when it swung open and a house elf greeted him.
âFollow me, sir. I shall be showing you the way.â He or she squeaked; Al could never tell what sec they were.
The interior was just as daunting as the exterior. They decor was dark, extremely old; antiques and paintings everywhere, and just generally outrageous. Al couldnât believe people actually lived like this. It was a complete opposite to how he lived. Yes, the Potterâs had a big house, and lots of land, but it was just a regular family home. Scorpiusâ house, no not house, fucking manor was something out of a period drama.
He silently climbed the stairs, ignoring the paintings; as the occupants stared at him.
Even the carpet was over the top. Delicate fancy pattern woven into it, greens and golds - Al wondered if he should have removed his trainers.
There were so many stairs to climb, he looked up and spotted a chandelier; it was stunning - and Al summarised probably cost more than his whole house.
Finally the house elf stopped outside a door, âMaster Scorpiusâ room.â
Then with a pop, he vanished. Alâs eyes widened, and his heart rate sped up. He was hoping to have the elf as a buffer; ease him into it. Fuck.
He took a steadying breath, lifting his hand and knocking.
âCome in.â The familiar cool voice of Scorpius called.
Al opened the door as slowly as he could get away with, without looking weird. As he stepped over the threshold he relaxed slightly. Scorpiusâ room wasnât as he expected it to be. It wasnât like the rest of the manor. In fact it was opposite. The walls were a plain calming colour, the furniture and decor was modern. It still looked like a show room; or a room from a five star hotel, but it was a normal room. Al could handle that.
âErâŠhi. Your elf showed me the way.â He nervously announced.
Scorpius remained silent, he was obviously waiting for Al to get settled.
Al removed his backpack, and placed it by his feet. Feeling out of sorts, and faced with a silent and gorgeous Scorpius, he blurted, âYour peacocks are scary fuckers.â He always rambled when he was nervous.
That got a reaction out of Scorpius, he smiled, âIndeed. Did they do something?â He asked amused.
Al felt stupid now, admitting he was scared of a peacock was ridiculous.
âYeah. Spread its feathers and started charging me!â He explained.
Scorpius laughed, âTake it as a compliment. Apparently, when they do that itâs a mating ritual. Theyâre trying to attract a mate. Maybe, it liked what he saw.â He teased.
Al frowned, âHuhâŠnot sure how to take that.â He shuddered at the memory of the crazy peacock.
Scorpius remained cool and collected, but internally he was a mess. Albus Potter, his long time crush was stood in his bedroom. Very near his bed. Wearing one of his ridiculous hoodies; his curls poking out of the hood; and smiling at him. He wasnât sure he could survive a whole day with him. He didnât blame the peacock, if he was one, he would certainly fan his feathers at Al.
âShall we get started.â He calmly suggested.
Al nodded and approached the desk that Scorpius had in the corner of his room.
âYour room is brilliant.â Al complimented.
Scorpius shrugged his shoulders, âYeah.â Was all be deemed suitable.
Al glanced at the large mirror opposite Scorpiusâ bed, and immediately blushed. He thought it odd to have such a large mirror placed there. Then his brain unhelpfully went x-rated, as it conjured up thoughts of what he and Scorpius could get up to on his bed, in front of that mirror.
âAl?â He heard Scorpius call.
Al blinked and looked back over at him, âSorry.â He walked over to Scorpius and sat on the spare chair.
They worked for a couple of hours. Both doing their best to ignore the other, and using the project as a distraction.
Scorpius had his head leaning on his hand. Al began to worry that Scorpius was bored. He wouldnât want his crush to think he was boring company.
So he put his quill down, and sighed, âI could use a break. Deciphering runes is extremely mind numbing.â He complained.
Scorpius chuckled, âIf you find it that monotonous, why did you take the subject for NEWTs?â He asked, curious.
Al couldnât give the honest answer, that he took it because Scorpius had taken it. That he wanted to be in as many classes with him as he could.
âErâŠ.I just wanted to take as many as I couldâŠyou know, challenge myself and improve my knowledge.â He answered.
Scorpius arched an eyebrow at him, and Al fixed the expression in his mind. He found Scorpius Malfoy, rather sexy when he did things like that.
âReally. Hmm..how interesting.â He drawled.
Al always blurted random things when he felt uncomfortable. So after a moments silence he said, âWhy did I have to apparate? Whatâs up with that.â
Scorpius fixed him with a pointed stare, âNothing. Father is having maintenance done on our fireplaces and floo connection. Why? Did you think it was some elaborate plan?â He joked, laughing lightly.
Al chucked too, âOh. Now I feel like a right idiot.â
Scorpius could see Al was feeling awkward, âYouâre not an idiot. Youâre the top student out of the Slytherin seventh years.â He reassured.
Al pouted, he always pulled funny faces - utilising his lips. Half the time he wasnât aware he was doing it. âNot top of tech whole year though. You and Rose tend to fight for that spot.â
Scorpius was distracted by Alâs lips. They were so plump, and kissable and it didnât help he pouted before he spoke.
âWell, yes but you have siblings and such to distract you from your studies. Being an only child, and living somewhere like this; where itâs always so quiet - there isnât much else to do.â He reasoned.
Al grinned, âThereâs flying.â He said hopeful.
Scorpius grinned, how could he not, when faced with an enthusiastic Al.
âI suppose youâve earned a break and we could do a spot of flying.â He announced.
Scorpius led Al through the manor, a different route to the one Al had entered by.
Through the kitchen and out a side door, âWe have plenty of brooms, you can have mine if you want, and Iâll take my fatherâs.â Scorpius called over his shoulder.
Al made a sound to show e heard, too busy watching the way Scorpius walked; occasionally checking out his behind.
Draco was sat in the garden, enjoying the afternoon sun, the clouds from earlier had moved on. He glanced over the top of his newspaper as he heard Scorpiusâ voice. It was obvious that the boys were heading to the broom shed, what else was obvious, was the fact the Potter boy, was checking out his son.
Dracoâs eyebrows rose, he thought about it for a second and then smiled. Returning his attention back to his paper. Pleased that at least the Potter boy liked Scorpius in return. Maybe, if they got together, Scorpius would stop talking about Potter constantly.
Ahh Gabby that was so cute!! Are you planning on writing any more? Iâd love to see them kiss haha! I loved the aesthetic too, great job!
Yeah, if people want it. I love Scorbus, but Iâm not sure how many other Scorbus shippers are out there.
I NEED YOU TO CONTINUE ON THIS PLEASE

Why did Barty Crouch Jr stop drinking polyjuice potion?

It was making him moody. Oh yeah.
Having sex is cool. Not having sex is cool. You know what's not cool? SMOKING NEWPORTS YOU PIECE OF SHIT
Letâs get real here for second, yeah? Everyone has different tastes. Some people like thicker [wo]men, some people like thinner [wo]men. Some like athletically inclined, some like video gamers. Some people like man buns, some donât. Some like scruff, some like beards, and some like clean shaven. Some [wo]men feel more comfortable with a lot of makeup, some feel comfortable with minimal, and some feel comfortable with no makeup at all.
Get over it.
Weâre all different. So why do we judge each other? Why do we hate on each other for our preferences? Why do we, as a whole society, complain about discrimination but continue to do it? Grow up. Get over yourself. So what if I personally like that man bun/beard combination? Who fucking cares? Itâs what I like, not you so why do you get to tell me that what I like is stupid, or dumb, or even more hurtfulâgay?
Mature a little, then weâll talk.
