Poppy’s lower jaw was broken 8 months ago and required surgery. Pins and and acrylic splint/fixator were placed for 5 months to stabilize the fracture. She has completely recovered and is doing gecko-y. This is one of my fav pics of her.

Breaking, finally giving me her first fertile eggs (I hope). Uroplatus Phantasticus do what is called “egg rolling” when the eggs are fertile, where they will hold the eggs in their back feet and roll them in the substrate to camouflage their appearance. You can just see the egg in this photo under her right foot.

Hi! Love your blog by the way. I am a fellow reptile enthusiast & I have loved them since forever. I have a beardie & a red eared slider that I adore. I was looking into maybe getting either a crested, leopard, or other gecko. Any advice? Pros/cons?

If you're experienced with reptiles, you've already got a head start. Geckos make amazing pets and are fun to take care of. Some require more research and effort than others, but if you're looking into a crestie or a leo you're making a good start. As long as you do your research and treat your animal well, I think you'll do fine :)
