some ramblings on how i make skin tones and hair look good together

as always, there are exceptions: eg. if your art is really stylised, going bright red probably won’t look as bad as if your art is more realistic (like mine is). there’s also an element of taste: i tend to like more soft, pastel-y, natural tones, so obviously i favour them, but but i tried to keep these tips more general colour theory-esque even though im definitely still learning

i see them less as rules and more as general guidelines because if something looks good, it looks good regardless of if it follows them or not

mightve used the word ‘complement’ in an un-technical way but i trust that you get my drift

Hey, @feanorianweek fans, it’s Curufin day!

Formerly Sailor Chibi-Curufinwe, if anyone calls her that now that she’s old enough to have a daughter of her own, they’re likely to get a smack with her signature hammer. Sailor Curufinwe is a princess and she knows it, and expects everyone to treat her accordingly.

Sailor Telperinquar is excited to be exactly like her mom, and isn’t quite old enough yet to see any potential flaws in that plan.
