PB, Please Stop Hurting Us (no, seriously don’t stop) Challenge:
Perfect Match is fucking everything.
The action scenes. The tension. The pain. The heartbreak. The heartstopping moments.
Like Dames… shit, Dames. I went through a million emotions during his scene. When Damien’s fighting him, begging him to come back. MC is heartbroken. Then when he says MC’s name as he comes to– wow.
Then the choices. Stop, taser… and kiss.
The kiss gives me hope he’ll be back.
But I was hunched over with tears as he sacrificed himself for us. Shit.
She better damn well come back.
Then Damien… oh Damien. PB finally portrayed trauma in more accurate way. He doesn’t want to bang. He just wants reassurance. Diamond scene or not, you got that from the scene.
No matter if you’re in a relationship with him or not, I adore how powerful his feelings are for MC and how soft he is around them. It’s pure.
Oh, and getting called out for sleeping with Dames? Your choices have consequences and extra dialogue depending on how you play?! I was SWEATING. It was awkward, needed, and I thought karma was finally going to get me for being a thot this whole book.
But what Eros did this him? It’s twisted. I was sick tapping through the scene. This is just the tip of the iceberg and I’m frankly scared at what’s next. Body doubles, trying to access a persons soul? Holy hell PB. You guys okay over there?
Nadia needs to be protected at all costs.
Namien is real and I regret keeping Steve around, even if Nadia wants him for his abs.
Then… TWO half free scenes with LI’s?!
If you’re romancing Sloane and Hayden? It’s amazing.
PB is handling this poly relationship SO DAMN GOOD– don’t make me choose because I can’t we can all be happy even with Eros on our asses.
The dates are cute and show so much their personality. But… wasn’t it weird how Hayden acted with the haiku scene… just for a moment?
Super Steamy Make-Out Session With Sloane, FYI.
Sure, this chapter wasn’t action packed… but it kept my attention. It’s well written. PB’s diving into new territory and making their stories have a layer of realism, even in the fantastical, that is engaging.
Action. Drama. Love. Heart(less). Pain. Angst. Mystery. Everything.
Oh, and I laughed at PM MC thinking that they’re so close to bringing down Eros.
Do they realize its only chapter four?
This book will kill me and I’ll happily accept it.
