day 01 ; a scene you'd make people read to get them hooked  | the marking ceremony

i know this scene isn't done yet but i have to go with the marking ceremony. i have never really given much thought to what getting the dark mark really entailed and the way eden's thought of it is just so horrific and yet genius and makes complete and total sense as well. even though it's barely begun, i can already tell it's going to be one of the more chilling scenes of this RPG, and i think it's totally enough to get people hooked! - shar

i was torn on this one because my initial idea was the first order of the phoenix meeting because it really set the cause in motion, but i couldn't resist picking the halloween ball. i think that's where you finally get to see the reality of the death eaters and the danger in the wizarding world and how all the characters react -- the panic and horror -- makes it really suspensful and pulls you in instaaantly.

Out of Hogwarts and into a world with rumblings of blood purity, murder in cold blood, and a Dark Lord... The same night awaits us all as the forces of light and dark prepare on the eve of war. Para Bellum is a brand new, slightly AU Marauders Era RPG from Toujours-Pur (a Harry Potter RPG vBulletin-based forum). It begins the summer after the Marauders leave Hogwarts.
