My last design of c!Q [LEFT] was back in early 2022 before the Las Nevadas FINALE finale dropped. I still like that old one, I drew so much with him in that outfit it still has a special place in my heart despite its flaws ;w;

[RIGHT] I wanted to keep the general idea of that design in this new one combined with the knowledge I have now on character design. Huge dial down on the patterns in place for a more communicative form.

Instead of using 3/4 of the card suits as his theme, this time I only picked one suit (The Diamond ♦️) and go hard on its prominence. And when I say there are diamonds, there are Diamonds -EVERYWHERE.

To express that Las Nevadas as, him as the (one half) representation of the country is built on diamond suit values of wealth, success - and also making of a community from career, visually through this design. Work consumes c!Q he becomes it, Whwhwh and perhaps his burns being diamonds-shaped too show the consequences of his obsession.
