The shuttle docked on the Ptolemy and Chris pushed out of her seat, grateful for the chance to stretch her legs again. Trips to Earth were great and all, but she could do without the overnight train ride and being stuck in the shuttle after.

But Lichty and Feldt were waiting for them at the bay door.

“Welcome back!” Feldt said, smiling as Chris joined them in the hallway.

“Yeah, welcome back!” Lichty said, bounding forward to help her with her luggage.

She let him take the duffel bag from her right hand, and Feldt grabbed the book in her left. That just left her with an overstuffed backpack that she hefted further up onto her shoulders.

“Looks like you really hit the jackpot,” Lichty groaned as he realized just how heavy the bag was.

Thanks to @durinswizardwheezes for some Allelujah headcanons that appear in Apostasy and some of our unpublished fic notes

Chris almost didn’t hear the tentative knock on the door. She sat up and pulled her headphones off, calling out, “Just a minute!” before extricating herself from the extra blanket she’d been using as a cape.

She punched in the controls to open the door and it hissed open to reveal, not Feldt like she’d expected, but Allelujah instead.

“Oh!” she said, pulling the bangs back and away from her face as she blinked at him.

Allelujah fumbled a bit, his eyes darting around the hallway as he apologized. “Sorry,” he said. “I didn’t mean to bother you if you were busy…”

“No, I—” she shook her head. “I wasn’t busy at all. What can I do for you?”

His arms were crossed over his chest and both hands squeezed into the opposite bicep until the knuckles were white. “I can come back another time,” he said, inching backward.

“Oh my god,” Chris said as the spoon fell out of her hand and clinked onto the table. “Oh my god,” she repeated, staring down at her terminal’s screen.

“What?” came the chorus from around the table.

Lockon whipped out his own terminal, quickly navigating toward breaking headlines for news of some fresh horror but didn’t see any new declarations or war or massacres or terrorist attacks or anything that would have warranted that reaction.

“What is it?” Lichty asked from beside her, his own dinner now forgotten.

“Is it some kind of attack?” Lasse asked, leaning forward across the table.

Chris was gaping at the screen, her mouth moving slightly as she quickly scanned the rest of the story. “No,” she says, pulling herself out of it. “No, it’s not anything like that.”

At first, Graham drifted. His dreams were vague, full of yellow flowers and metallic crystals.

When he woke, it was in a hospital bed. He felt strange. He ached down to his bones, but it was a new ache, not the long-familiar consequences of too many G-forces that he was accustomed to. More oddly, the scar on his face felt less tight than usual, and a bit more sensitive. There was also a deep, stinging pain in his left arm that felt surprisingly fresh.

Gundam 00 Week Day 4: Trust You  | AO3 Link

Shirin Bahktiar had left her government job in Azadistan to help lead a group of rebels in their fight against a repressive militaristic regime.  It sounded very romantic in abstract terms.

In concrete terms, she was doing nearly the same work, just under much worse conditions, but with more authority and the privilege of actually being able to shout at the people causing the problems, instead of having to smile at them prettily and then deal with them behind their backs.

If she thought about it like that, it was pretty easy to see why Klaus deferred to her so often when coordinating infiltrations.

Gundam 00 Week Day 3: A Love Fleeting, Yet Everlasting

Setsuna only spent a few years of his life with his mother and father, but I like to think that he carried at least some memories of them that weren’t traumatic into the far future with him.

We don’t know anything about her from the show, really, but we can guess that she was probably Soran’s primary caregiver, given the culture in Krugis. I like to think she was a good storyteller, too, so here she is telling Soran a story. Whether it’s a folktale, a religious story, or something that happened to a cousin of her cousin is up to you.
