It's been a super long day I promise to be on tomorrow
I'm on mobile but I'll do replies :)
âEhm no thank you, I donât smoke and neither should you. You know that it is really bad for you right?â
âIâve heard that a time or two. But you only live once right?â
her hand was shaking when she put down the phone. the oxygen left her lungs but she still felt heavily breathless. the violence of the manâs question didnât feel as strong as the feeling of her own body battling against itself. â oh, god. iâm sorry. â tess hid her face. â yes, yes, thereâs nothing you need to worry about. â no, please, not tears! but they were there. "excuse me, i â- â
James slowly approached the female, shoulders slumped in attempt to look more welcoming. âIâm no doctor but you donât seem very happy.â He offered a small smile. âI have been told, by a few people, that it is easier to talk to someone that you donât know Anyway, my point is that you donât know me so it might be easier to talk to me if you want.â
Eyes roll at the sight of her colleague. âPlay nice James.â She smirked as he approached her. âWeâll see, personally I think it suits you.â
âIf you get to call me love, I get to call you darling.â He laughed, âWe should probably start looking for the suspect.â
âTrue. But is lung cancer really the way to go?â
âIâd say itâs better than death by like shark attack or something.â
Tammie chuckled and passed over a drink to James, only she had withheld the information that she had also purchased them a couple of shots each. She gave an innocent pout as she then slid Jamesâ two shots over to him. âI promise promise promise, ok? Except youâll have to deal with me with no make up on which is probably torture, really.â She picked up her first shot and grinned. âYou ready? After three.â
James brightly grinned, âYouâll have to deal with me probably without many clothes on and bag under my eyes, which can also be torture.â James quickly took the shots in his hand. âOne, two, three.â He shot down the liquid fire with much ease. âI feel like we only hang out when we are getting drunk.â
âApologies mean nothing to me.â
âWho hurt you so badly that a sincere apology means nothing to your seemingly cold heart?â
âYouâd be surprised, that wouldnât be the worst thing Iâve experienced.âÂ
âWhatâs the worst thing that youâve experienced?â He asked curiously.
Detective Loki (Prisoners, 2013) - Tropes
âDid I do something wrong is that why youâre looking at me like that or what because Iâm very confused over here?â The young woman said as she looked downwards and away from the person, her face twisted into one of uncertainty.Â
James was staring off to space, thinking about the days events. It had been a long one to say the least. The femaleâs voice startled him back into reality. âWhat? Iâm sorry I was just thinking.â
â dad? â- huh, if youâre. shit. if youâre listening to this iâm sorry. i just had a really bad day and i â fuck. iâm sorry i shouldnât be calling you but â- â she was hiding at work. â i just hope youâre home today by the time iâm home and i â- i love you, okay? iâll be â iâll be better, donât worry. â
James shyly stood, trying not to listen to the female, but couldnât help but overhear. Once it seemed like she was done, he slowly approached, âLook, Iâm sorry for being nosy but are you okay?â
âI think youâre a lot drunk,â Christian offered a small laugh and smile, though his eyebrows were furrowed in concern.
âNope.â He cheekily smiled, âCome on, I think climbing the water tower would be awesome! Think of the view.â
âSmoking kills.â
âWe all gotta die somehow.â
âFuck.â She breathed heavily, resting against a tree. Glancing around the tall trunk he wasnât anywhere to be seen, but someone else was approaching. âFinally lost the bastard. Donât mind me love, WBPD.â
James let out a small laugh , âI work with you love.So no worries.â He made his way around the tree to face the woman, âLetâs not call me love again.â
âIf anyoneâs being an ass here, itâs you.â
âHow so? I apologized.â
âthe devilâs device to an early death so that she may claim my soul and torment me? god, yes.â
âWow, sarcasm. You could have just said no.â
