7 Things to Quit
1. Getting your self esteem from others.
2. Constantly attacking and putting yourself down.
3. Thinking that others are better than you.
4. Expecting things to not turn out well.
5. Living in the past.
6. Fearing the future.
7. Being afraid of change.
I feel like God is pulling me to do so much more
And if I can get out of my own head
And out of my own way
I can allow Him to use me in ways I cannot even imagine
The Sound of Music (1965) dir. Robert Wise

There are some esteem issues that come with the assault of being colonized and being dominated and being marginalized. But we have to push through those and embrace and immerse ourselves in the stunningness that is of us. You have to get on that one man boat and go out into the raging storm until you get to the break of a new day. You have to get to the point where it’s like this is not truth, and consequently it is no longer going to be my truth. And now I’m going to embrace the power of who I am and where I’m from.
never forget these almost-showing-some-crack looks..
“We want to be accepted just the way we are.“
These black women react to protests over natural hair in South Africa.
Black people in SOUTH AFRICA. Fighting to be black in SOUTH AFRICA like white people what’s your problem fr fr?
It’s funny how straight hair is seen as normal when the first humans most likely had afro textured hair.
They absolutely did
“But it’s just hair”
Anti black racism & misogynoir are global institutions that affect the very being of black women & girls down to every strand of our hair.
I will never understood how they literally came to AFRICA and tried to run shit…. That shit blows my mind
White people never cease to disgust me.
