i saw it on my feed and thought “free dobby shield? i don’t play this game. i have no context as to what a shield is or does in this game, why it’s a big deal, or why i should care. how on earth would this draw in new players. and also ew harry potter”

It just seemed like epitome of “sign up for this game and get ten thousands bloopies right now!” and like, is that a lot? is it not? I wouldn’t know if I wasn’t already playing. and that plus the out-of-touch Harry Potter garbage made it so cynical that it felt like a parody.
