“I was not here.” The statement held truth. Konigen’s demise and Syndra’s descent into the pools was a tale that happened a long time ago. Some people did not even remember or know what exactly happened. It was only the violet lady’s bloodthirst and yearning for vengeance that reminded them of all the wrongdoings. But this was a while ago; times changed and so did the mentalities. Darha, personally, tried to ensure that the new policies would help them to develop further. Ionia was an ancient and beautiful land, full of secrets and wonders, but the nation was still stuck in their archaic ways.
“Do you really think I would have let you go through all this alone if I would be here?”
Karma’s violet eyes met with the enthralling and challenging gaze of the Dark Sovereign as she proclaimed her demands.
Were she uneducated, if she’d lack the connection to the soul and the source within the woman that granted her all the powers, she would have probably emphasized more with her sufferings. And emphasize she did, yet it did not make her consciousness wilt away, nor was she ready to ask for forgiveness for the all the wrongs people did to Syndra.
Darha did see wrong in their actions, however. It was unwise to trap away such potential without trying to hone it first.
But Karma had doubts that this woman would listen to her reasoning. They stood on complete opposites of balance, yet they had to share the common ground if they wanted to live in peace.
The delicate tea tray was set on the ground and the avatar took a step closer to the levitating sovereign. “You make bold announcements, Syndra, and you came here demanding justice for crimes committed against you long ago. You have spilled blood, both your former mentor’s, the locals and of the Noxians.
What do you want to claim from us that you could possibly need? You have made yourself known. We acknowledge you, some fear you.
If you want a power to rule, to dominate, I must disappoint you for this is not something you will achieve.
If you want to negotiate, then I am willing to discuss the terms with you.”
