we are the gaia gang !! you might have heard of us from, well.. a lot of different ways! like maybe the tenakth rebels, or the oseram in the pub, or maybe you just heard erend’s loud music. (zo heard it too. she still isn’t happy that aloy won’t do anything.)

you can ask us questions!! we will answer!! plain and simple!! although we ARE humans too.. so no icky stuff! i think they called it nsfw. and no threats or anything! friendly reminder that we have a tenakth marshal, “the saviour”, an utaru, a nora, AND an oseram!! i don’t think you wanna mess with us..

(and sylens, i guess.. i wouldn’t say i can do much, and beta.. well. beta is beta. but beta is still cool!!!)

Have y'all seen an old ones movie??

(OOC: i have VERY limited movie knowledge because movies are not something i enjoy for some reason so this may be less accurate)

we’ve managed to see a few!! movies are obviously long and harder to restore but we’ve seen two from this company called disney and this one about a popular plastic doll the old ones used to have?? (could’ve swore i caught a single tear on kotallo’s face on that one..)

Aloy - I’m not sure what specifically, but I think I’d look into cures for this disease they used to have called cancer, which was REALLY bad. Assuming the world wouldn’t be imminently ending, I try and fix the world. Just a little bit. Sorry, I didn’t know how else to phrase it.

Erend - OK, I HAVE TWO ROUTES. I’D EITHER START MY OWN BAR AND BE A BARTENDER, AND EVERYONE IN TOWN WOULD KNOW WHO I WAS. IF SOMEONE ASKED “HEY, WHAT SHOULD WE DO FOR OUR NIGHT OUT?” THEY’D SAY “LETS GO TO THE FORGE™️” AND NO ONE WOULD DISAGREE. OR I’D GET TOGETHER WITH SOME BUDDIES AND START A BAND. WE’D BE FAMOUS. LIKE REALLY FAMOUS.

Varl - see they used to have this game called football and it’s basically where you kick a ball around and try and get it into the goal. it looks really fun and i don’t know if it would be a proper job but i think i’d like to do that!!

Zo - I would like to be someone who works with plants.. I think they called it a botanist. Sorry it’s not a lengthy answer - that’s all there is to say, really :)

Kotallo - i want to be able to stab my enemies. i think i’ll become a serial killer.

Alva - um. well. i promise he’s fine guys. ANYWAY!! i would love to be a historian.. it’s basically the same as being a diviner but everything is more accurate LOL. or maybe i’ll dig up the dinosaur bones..

Sylens - he’s NOT dealing with my chicanery guys. this is the second time i’ve pestered him like this he might snap soon. although i can picture him as the local neighbour that people generally don’t like. he’s probably like.. some professor at a university who’s REALLY done with this one specific kid.

Beta - i think i’d want to work at a library where i get to read all day and it would be really quiet and then everyone else would come and visit and we’d have tea together and it’d be really nice and cozy

GAIA - I’m not sure. All I’ve ever been is an AI; I’m not sure I can comprehend having a different job. My apologies.

If you had the chance, what other people would you invite to join the GAIA Gang?

Alva passed me this one because I’m “the leader of the GAIA Gang”. I humbly accept this title.

I’m aiming to get Talanah and Seyka on the team soon, they’d be good additions. But they do have their own stuff going on and obviously inviting their respective tribes to help with Nemesis, so I think it’ll be a while yet. Alva says she wants to Federa, but she’s.. across the ocean, so I’m not sure. I think it’d be helpful if we had the trio from Hidden Ember too in terms of weapons and gadgets and such.

Aloy - Oh. Um. I don’t exactly listen to their music a lot, I generally prefer what we have today. Although, GAIA gave me this playlist once called “Phonk”, and I guess it was ok, so I guess that? Sorry, that’s not really a song..

Erend - HEAVY METAL BANDS, I THINK METALLICA OR SLIPKNOT IS MY FAVOURITE. I ENJOY MASTER OF PUPPETS A LOT, THOUGH. ITS EIGHT MINUTES LONG, SO I GET TO ENJOY IT FOR AGES.

(ooc: i know nothing about heavy metal bands all i have is a friend with a metallica bag whom we call emo all the time)

Varl - i actually quite enjoy the pop genre! i think there was a heavy split between the old ones between people who did and didn’t, but i think they sound cool and upbeat. my favourite has to be this one song called shake it off by this girl called taylor swift!!! i don’t know if she’s still relevant with you guys but i enjoy a lot of her music :) also i listen to classical sometimes from zo!!!

Zo - Generally I listen to calmer music, classical like Varl said. I enjoy Beethoven, but I also switch over to more 80s, 90s, 2000s, and 2020s music sometimes because of Varl. I like Adele - my favourite from her has to be Chasing Pavements, or Easy On Me :) Alva got me into The Lumineers too.

Kotallo - i don’t have a lot of time to listen to music. all i know is mr. sandman. bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam bam oh mr sandman. that one. i think it’s old so i don’t know if you all still know it.

Alva - MY TURN!!!!! i enjoy this one band called the lumineers a LOT. my favourite is ophelia because it reminds me of federa and sometimes it makes me cry. also!! taylor swift!! she was 2000s to 2020s i think so like varl said i’m not sure if you all know her.. but i heard her fans called themselves “swifties” so that’s pretty cool!! me and varl listen to music together a lot we share similar tastes :3 i like the pop genre too!!

Beta - i really enjoy the crane wives i really like the moon will sing or the well also there was this song called lovely and i think billie something was her name and all i can do is see myself in the lyrics so it makes me cry but it also makes me feel really comforted also alva showed me this song called rises the moon and it makes me really calm

Sylens - Classical.

GAIA - My likes are what Elisabet liked. Sometimes, when she was feeling a bit happier, she’d listen to 70s, 80s, 90s, but when she needed to focus or needed something calmer in a solemn mood, she’d put on some classical or generally calm music. I believe her favourite was “Keep On Movin’” by a band called Five. Although, I do enjoy the songs everyone plays around the base, too.

What does beta think about dinosaurs or prehistoric stuff?

i think they look pretty cool keyword look because i’ve seen machines and most of them are based off dinosaurs and they scare me so machines have affected my views..

my favourite is pterodactyls because they look like sunwings and sunwings remind me of aloy also they look cool and majestic

Every once in a while Aloy will be out and about and spot some sort of plant or flower she thinks I’d like. Admittedly, her photography is not very good, but it such a nice little thing she does. Always fun to go out and find the plant too :)

one time i had a nightmare that i was being chased by the zeniths except it wasn’t really a chase per se but they were floating towards me menacingly and all i could do was run really slowly and eventually they got me and then their faces went all distorted then i was outside and nemesis was in the sky and it was coming and for some reason i saw aloy’s corpse there too and then nemesis started speaking and telling me how bad i was and how useless i was then it threw a rock at me
