Paint the Wind - Co-acting A!U || Sohee x Gain

Sohee had an eventful day ahead of her as she drove to the studio. Having been given the part of the romantic female interest, that meant more exposure for her. She was no longer merely just an extra in the background, lucky to get a screencap. It wasn’t the main lead, but she - contrary to her parents insistence - didn’t need to be the main star just yet. The ride was surprisingly short - or was it that she drove past the speed limit in anticipation? - and she quickly found herself parked close to the studio. Script in hand, she made her rounds in greeting everyone that took notice of her presence on the way to the designated corner for costume. She was told that this would be the least painful part of prepping for dress rehearsal as hair and makeup would take the longest to prepare (and they wouldn’t even do the full gisaeng regalia today, merely the hanbok and adding extensions to her already ebony colored hair.) Her eyes scanned the script up to the part where she actually had dialogue and she spoke her first line several times, testing the inflection for each approach, scarcely noticing the increase of eyes on her as she slowly transformed from a modern day young woman into an entertainer from the days of old, back when Korea was a single nation instead of a country divided. "Do you mind if you could stand up?" she asked to no one in particular, starting the line of dialogue that put her in contact with the main character.

Ga-In closed her eyes as the make-up artists fussed over her, enjoying the challenge to make her look like she could pass for a male. Just a bit ago, she had been with the costume designers, being worked into a binder and hearing all about how they were so excited to be completely changing her appearance. One of the makeup artists was even proclaiming that no one would even be able to recognize her, but she just smiled and shook it off.

After what seemed like forever, she was dressed and ready. Everyone was saying it was a dress rehearsal, but it all seemed a bit..over the top for her, but again she shrugged it off and just assumed that they had wanted to practice the makeup and be sure all the costumes fit perfectly.

She made her way to the set and then found the spot where she had been told she would start her scene. She smiled and picked up the pad that was already sitting out for her and then looked over the fence, eyes widening a bit when she saw Sohee. She had only heard small bits of gossip about the other, but seeing her was completely different. The sound of her voice, despite the words being straight from the script made Ga-In gasp and she stood from the kneeling position she had been in while looking over the fence.
