🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEIRA 🎁 From Boston Strangler, 2023. A film, based on a true story, that I greatly enjoyed for its atmosphere, its acting, its plot, its historical recreation, and the tension it creates. It's a shame, for me, that he died in anonymity on a streaming platform and not in a movie theater. In my painting, I wanted to represent the paranoia and/or fear that she might become the next target of the serial killer she's searching for. To show that even in broad daylight, in the city, and surrounded by people, she can be afraid and believe that she's being watched, followed, stalked and that someone wants to assassinate her. That anyone could be a murderer without her knowing it (given the murders, it's more likely they were committed by a man, but I didn't want to show that all men are killers; that's stupid, and the film also takes care to tacitly highlight this point with many men, certainly sometimes with strong characters and flaws, but quite innocent nonetheless).

🌹 HAPPY SPRING 🌷 This year again, an Art Nouveau quadriptic. This year , a woman with a floral bustier and a giant dress in the "emblematic color of the season" sitting a field of flowers in a contrasting color and always hair that's way too long 🥰

🎅 MERRY CHRISTMAS / JOYEUX NOËL 🎄 The return of the Christmas elves, in the middle of a sled race. 🛷💨🛷💨

❄️ HAPPY WINTER ☃️

Fourth part, winter, Pikmin 4 starring ice and glow pikmin. It's silly but I had to wait until I started this four-part series to realize that each new type of Pikmin introduced by each game has a new flower color. White for the three Pikmin in the first game, pink for the two in the second, purple for the two in the third, and finally yellow for the last two. I hadn't paid attention to this detail until then. I just thought the designers had chosen the flower colours for purely aesthetic reasons.

🎂 HAPPY BIRTHDAY KEIRA 🎁 From Official Secrets, 2019. I really liked this film, based on a book but more importantly, based on a true story. A woman who betrays her country and the USA by revealing an "official" secret to prevent a massacre and an escalation of violence. I'm quite surprised I've never heard her story, which took place in 2003, before this movie. It's an important act against the Iraq War (even if it was in vain). She preferred to follow her conscience rather than follow her duty of confidentiality. Always happy to see Keira again, especially in the lead role, she is touching, the film keeps us in constant tension, we are tense with empathy for her. A good cast. I'm glad to see the Keira Knightley/Ralph Fiennes duo again (for the better this time, he's making amends ^^)

🎅 MERRY CHRISTMAS / JOYEUX NOËL 🎄 Small picture showing the panic of the elves on Christmas Eve. Apparently the blonde agrees to be loaded like a mule by the two brunettes (well… one officially and the other on the sly) to fill Santa's sleigh with gifts. 🎁🎁🎁🛷

❄️ HAPPY WINTER ☃️ Rosetta the garden-talent fairy from Tinker Bell movies. I thought it was aimed at a really young audience but in the end I got carried away by these films, they are really cool. 🧚

Yeah…" Pretend to have lunch in town, leave quickly and play "Dido: Here With Me" loudly. 🥲 I know there's also the "Cards on the Doorstep" scene but there's more Keira here. 🙃 (from Love Actually, 2003)

🌹 HAPPY SPRING 🌷 This year again, an Art Nouveau quadriptic. Not really seasonal this time. A friend pointed out to me that I always liked "plant girls" in cartoons. I've never done it on purpose, but it's a good thing to do Art Nouveau. Here is the first: Mimi Tachikawa & Palmon from Digimon.
