really thinking about Max Caulfield and the themes of the first LIS game. In Double Exposure, everyone knows Max has some dark mysterious backstory and I feel like everyone agrees that it's the storm and Chloe's death, that's the worst thing that happened to her. But it's not. The whole story is about Sexual Violence at the end of the day. Chloe only died because of Mark Jefferson and Nate. The worst thing that happened to Max was Mark Jefferson. I read Thomfield fics and Safield fics and they talk about how traumatizing Chloe's death was for Max or how traumatizing the Storm was if it happened. They never go into why these things happened though. Max is a highly traumatized individual, all at the hands of one mans actions. Let's not forget what the game is actually about.

me and my gf got the achievement for getting all the evidence in LIS reunion and got happy endings for most characters, but also somehow managed to solve absolutely ZERO of the mysteries (at least the fire-related motives) despite this lmao. max really said “damn, that was wild. anyway.”

Its so good when games have some factions/characters that are unkind or downright bigoted to certain player characters(in moderation and as a revealing aspect)... For example the fallout Legion actually being misogynistic towards female couriers... I love being righteously pissed off, I love to hate. Makes things much easier...As some decisions go.

Like if you play as a male character you are missing out on some quality opinion forming rage...

anyway insert meme: I can excuse misogyny, slavery, racism, homophobia, torture, and massacres..

But I cant excuse when they wont let me fight in the arena because of misogyny towards me, the player character specifically :C

I had to move back in with my folks a while back, and I just love how they enjoy calling me a burden and all the insults for living there, but every time I get close to moving out I’m being foolish and dumb for leaving lmao

Putting pricefield aside it’s really nice that Reunion goes ‘who cares if the universe wants you dead, you deserve the chance to exist’ in relation to Chloe’s survivor’s guilt. 

It’s always rubbed me the wrong way that people are so quick to condemn Chloe Price to getting murdered in a school that hated her because ‘the universe said so’. That’s such a bummer take, you what I mean? Like yeah life is sad blah blah blah but she was barely more than a kid and never got to leave her home town and she’s so angry and hurt! Let her say fuck you to the universe and LIVE!
