Transitioning expectation vs reality

This is a thing I feel like I have started seeing since the Great 2020 Transitioning that makes me happy, stuff like this or the Sans Undertale meme about turning into your mom.

It's obviously not a new thing to point out that our society puts "True Femininity" up on a pedestal where women are supposed to be perfect, clean, unsullied beings of light and goodness here to civilize the "Those Dirty Boys and Dangerous Men", and how badly that messes women up.

But when you are starting from the position of being seen as the dirty, disgusting, dangerous man, it's even harder. You expect yourself to be that pure, radiant thing, while actually feeling like a tainted, corrupt interloper. It can crush you if you don't push back against it.

So yeah, this makes me happy. Trans women going "Yeah, I am not a perfect waifu anime girl, and you don't have to be." To badly quote another Tumblr post: "a woman is an animal that pisses, shits, farts, and grows hair all over their body. Get used to it." And I am one of those animals, which is pretty cool.

Moreover, overpopulation is an ecofascist myth specifically scapegoating ‘developing’ nations in the global south for climate disaster.

In reality, populations only rise so sharply as people begin to receive better access to healthcare and maternal and infant mortality in particular decrease. Eventually, as healthcare access is more evenly distributed through a population and people on a larger scale are able to access family planning care, the population stops increasing and levels out and decreases.

Which is why so-called ‘developed’ are all now manufacturing a crisis about population decline and not having enough bodies to fill out the labor force while simultaneously fearmongering about overpopulation in racialized groups. It’s eugenics shit.
