GALERIJA SKART

Gallery Skart recycles and re-purposes old and discarded technology for the purpose of exhibiting works of art. Artworks will be reproduced on televisions and computer screens using DVD players, personal computers, laptops and VHS players that have been recycled and donated to the gallery. The gallery is located in Zadar, Croatia. We encourage all artist who are interested in exhibiting their artwork to contact us via Tumblr or Facebook. Galerija Skart pokušava smanjiti udaljenost između promatrača i izlagača (autora) kroz drugačiji način prezentacije umjetničkih radova pomoću odbačene i zastarjele tehnologije koju oživljuje dajući joj novu funkciju. Djeluje u okviru Autonomnog kulturno-društvenog centra “Nigdjezemska”, vođena je (kao i sam centar) horizontalnim “uradi sam” principima kooperacije i solidarnosti i teži samoodrživosti. Sadržaji će se projicirati koristeći elektronički otpad, koncept je to koji predstavlja kritiku konzumerizmu, društvu tehnoloških senzacija te institucionalizaciji kulture. Cijela galerija je osnovana s minimalnim sredstvima te i dalje teži neovisnosti o novcu pri izvođenju izložbi. Pozivamo sve da svoju zaboravljenu tehnologiju doniraju Galeriji kako bi je upogonili u ove svrhe. Ohrabrujemo sve kreativce i kreativke da se jave s konceptima u skladu s prethodno napisanim.
