Whelp I’ve been here for over 10 years and never made an intro post, so here we go! Hello and welcome! My name is Galixee (Xee), I’m 23, use she/they pronouns, and am a waterfowl research scientist!
My interests kind of shift all over the place, all the time, but here’s an ever changing list of what I’ll likely post/like/write about:
Life Series SMP
Hermitcraft
Hollow Knight/Silksong
Dark Souls/Elden Ring Universe
Birds (ducks especially)
I write! Mainly Scarian rn, but may branch out in the future, so check me out on ao3 (@galixee). Feel free to send me any asks or messages… I love talking to people about my interests wooo!
Update: I am currently in the process of moving across states and stating a new job, so updates are a little slower rn!

And we're back with another chapter!!! Moving has been going well, but I've had a bit less time for writing than I was hoping for. Still, so excited to share this chapter with y'all as we delve more into Grian as a character in this story. Enjoy!!
Title: Stuck on the Tracks
Chapter 2/13 (~11,500 words)
Summary:
Grian was once known as Detective Xelqua, the Watcher’s Hero Agency’s most effective weapon against vigilantes. He uncovered nine vigilantes’ civilian identities in six years before disappearing, leaving the title behind along with the damage it caused.
When the Agency recruits him again to hunt down an unyielding new vigilante known as HotGuy, they offer him closure and a way to fix his past mistakes. Instead, Grian finds himself facing a case that mirrors the ones that destroyed him in the first place.
But if he finishes this job, he’ll finally be free.
Or, Grian is a former detective who uncovers the civilian identities of vigilantes, and Scar, better known as HotGuy, has been getting on the Hero Agency’s nerves.

Sooo, I officially graduated with my M.Sc. and finally have time to write again. This has been a bit of a passion project on the side, and I am so excited to share it with you all. (I still plan on updating Stars Above, but I needed something new to work on!). So, without further ado, I really hope everyone enjoys this new Scarian superhero fic <3

Next chapter is going to be a little late, as I’m currently getting ready to move to a new state and start a new job! Just need to edit it, so should be up next week ^.^ Again, trying to do bi-weekly updates but they might be pushed to a month depending on my life. Appreciate the patience and can’t wait to share more with yall!

Everything the Light Touches is a collaborative Big Bang fandom event committed to connecting Scarian creatives to like-minded people. We aim to bring together a community and cultivate an explosion of Scarian content—a big bang, if you will.
Writers will pitch a fic concept and in turn, artists will choose which idea they would like to contribute to. For the following 4 months, teams will work together to create content they are proud of—some of which may be pseudo book covers, chaptered stories, screenplays, ficbindings, and animations.
🌻 All who apply will be accepted.

Below the cut is a thorough guideline on what to expect from Everything the Light Touches! There is a shorter, more concise explanation on our Carrd.
May 1 to May 31 - Sign-ups
June 16 + 17 - Blurb Auction
June 24 - Teams Assigned
June 24 to October 30 - Official Creation Period
November 3 - Posting Period Begins
★ A more in-depth schedule can be found on our Carrd
Signing up-
Sign-ups will run from the beginning of May to the end of May. That is 30 days to contemplate participation.
Creatives will choose a tier at their time of sign-up. Everyone must reach their tier minimum but are welcome to surpass their goals to create as much content as they would like. Tiers will look like this:
Tier 1 - a minimum of 10,000 words or a minimum of 1 fully rendered piece of art
Tier 2 - a minimum of 25,000 words or a minimum of 2 fully rendered pieces of art
Tier 3 - a minimum of 50,000 words or a minimum of 3 fully rendered pieces of art
As soon as you complete the form, writers are welcome to begin drafting, although they will not be able to join the Discord server until the first week of June when invitations are sent out.
Upon arrival to the Discord server, participants will have a week to settle, select their roles, and complete polls for server-wide activities. Writers should have a blurb completed and submitted by June 13.
Blurb Auction-
The auction will be held a week or so after everyone has joined the Discord and when writers have submitted 1 to 2 fic concepts in the form of a blurb. Blurbs will be displayed anonymously in a spreadsheet that all creatives will have access to.
Blurbs are expected to come with an Ao3-like rating for general audiences, teen and up audiences, and mature audiences; as well as two to three relevant genre tags and any relevant content warnings. Works containing sexual encounters and heavy graphic violence will not be allowed in the main event.
Artists will then consider the blurbs and their respected tags and rank the up to 5 pitches they would like to work with in a google form. Depending on the ratio of artists to writers, artists who volunteer may be placed in more than one team.
Team Assignments-
Teams are created based heavily on the auction results and loosely on a writer’s tier.
There will be 1 writer to a team and the potential of up to 2 artists. This, of course, will fully depend on sign-ups and is not written in stone. Results from the interest check forecast a larger number of artists than writers, and the size of teams will only be determined after sign-ups close. If two writers would like to work together, please reach out to a moderator.
Beta Readers and Pinch Hitters will be welcomed later on in the creation period. When needed, the addition of a pinch hitter can be requested for a team. Beta readers will not be designated to a team and will work on a volunteer basis.
Writers - this event is not a free commission for artwork. You are expected to work side-by-side with your artist teammates and create a story you are all proud of. This is not just an event to create scarian content, but to meet other creators with similar interests.
The Creation Period-
When teams are formed and everyone has settled into their private channels or threads, the creation period will begin. The first team check-in will be July 22 and will only require proof of a written draft, a layout of scenes, or sketches. Check-ins two, three, and four will ask for different information from different tiers.
Finalized pieces will be posted in an Ao3 Collection. Everyone is encouraged to post their creations on their social medias, including tags for the big bang and who they collaborated with. Authors who stay anonymous on Ao3 are welcome to post to the collection anonymously as well.
All writers will claim a posting date near the end of October. This date will coincide with your last chapter update. If you have a one-shot then the claim will be the date of your posting. All fics must be fully posted by your claimed posting date and artworks are expected to follow these times as well. When the time comes, please discuss your preferred claims with your team. Different tiers will have different claim restrictions.
All works must be posted by the end of 2026!
Everything the Light Touches welcomes you! Thank you for your consideration. 💫

So my thesis is in the final edits stage, and I am getting close to defending. Basically, not all of my writing brain power has to go into science and work anymore, and I am excited to write in my free time again!!
I’m working on an incredibly self-indulgent AU to get me back into the swing of things… though it’s expanding into more than I thought it would! Oops!
My plan is to ease into everything as I finish up the final stages of my degree, but know that I am writing! I’m going to work on this silly little AU (see the end of this post for a sneak peek??) while I review the earlier chapters of Stars Above and edit them to my liking. I won’t be changing any major story points, but rather cleaning them up as my style evolves :) trying to get more of that overwhelming sense of panic and dread into my writing
Thank you all for your patience. I’m happy to finally start to come back!!
Anywho, sneak peek time? Likely won’t be out anytime soon, but I think yall deserve a little something:

When the Agency recruits him again to hunt down an unyielding new vigilante known as Hot Guy, they offer him closure and a way to fix his past mistakes. Instead, Grian finds himself facing a case that mirrors the ones that destroyed him in the first place.
But if he finishes this job, he’ll finally be free.
And that’s a wrap folks. Detective and superhero AU with a fun twist, and nothing bad could ever happen, right?
your fic stars above reminds me of the song “cosmic love” by Florence + the machine! I was just wondering if you listened or had any song that inspired the fic?
I can’t believe I never mentioned it, but yes! The title of the actual fic was inspired by that song. It’s one of the songs I love listening to while writing :D
Soooo it’s been four long months now, and my mind is still hyper fixated on Stars Above. Don’t worry, I’ve gotten over the cicada thing, but I still can stop thinking about the story, and Grian’s wings, and their dynamic, and the general atmosphere, and Scar’s love for Grian, and the house, and- well, basically I can’t get this little story you’ve written outa my head. Not sure why, but I also don’t mind. I don’t mind still thinking about it one bit.
Now, I want you to picture this scene: I’m coming back from a long work trip and I have a six hour flight. I’m absolutely exhausted, and I have no intention to pick up a pencil and draw at all. I have one goal: sleep. So I try, and you know where my mind drifts off to? Stars Above. Because of course it does. So an hour into a sleepless fight, I pull out my tablet and begin drawing. It was only meant to be a sketch, but of course, it spiraled from there.
Basically, how I say?… I made fanart for you [: I hope u like it! I was quite serious when I said I wanted to draw every scene you write, but seeing as that is near impossible, this’ll have to do for now. Here’s the link: https://www.tumblr.com/spotted-leaf44/810118113397014528/we-love-our-eldritch-bird-man-who-fell-from-the?source=share
Also, I loved that one shot you did as well, and I want you to know that if Stars Above never gets finished, that’s ok. That wasn’t the intention of this comment. I hope you’re having fun with the ducks. QUACK
Oh my gosh, genuinely thank you so much for your ask and the art. This is the first fic art I’ve ever received and genuinely you just made my year!
But yes, I absolutely plan to finish Stars Above. It holds a very special place to my heart, and I couldn’t leave it unfinished. The ducks have taken over for a little bit, and I’m not sure I will be able to produce any updates until my thesis is submitted (May), but I still have so much that I am excited to share with y’all.
Again thank you so much for your support (all of you). It means the world to me, and I can’t wait to share the rest of the story once grad school calms down.
Hey all, I posted this author’s note at the end of last chapter, but wanted to repost it here just in case folks missed it… I don’t think there will be an update this week as I’ve only been able to write 2k words so far, but I’m hoping to get it out next weekend at least.
But anyways here’s the small update:
October and November are extremely busy times of the year for me. I will be travelling around the state for my lab's bi-annual field banding season (duck migration, yay!), so I will often be without internet and easy access to a computer... not to mention the wacky sleep schedule because we catch ducks at night! Because of that, updates might be a little late or abnormal. I will do my best to get a chapter out every 2-3 weeks these next two months, but I have no idea how much time I'll have for writing. I plan on at least having one chapter each of those months, though, with a goal of 2 per month, so don't worry, there will still be some updates
This fic will be completed, I promise y'all! I already have the complete story planned, just need a little extra time to give this fic the love it needs <3 appreciate you guys!
Same thing this time folks… sadly it’s probably not going to be out until this weekend or early next week. Been super busy and not home most weekends, which is my main time for writing. I have lovely writers block for this chapter which does not help!
Here’s some birds I banded though, for some content! I’ll share some more as we get ducks this week :)
Player applications are now open for MCC Writing Event, and will close on December 10th!
More info in this post, as well as the form description!
This is an open event, so once the form is completed, you will be given a link to the Discord server! Please note you will not be able to speak the Discord server until December 1st - a mod questions channel will still be open though, so you can send questions there or to this accounts ask box!
Chapter 6 is finally out, and wooo do I have a little treat for you all… enjoy the new number of chapters on top of it!
Thank you so much for the support of this work… we are almost at 250 kudos and 4k reads, which means the world to me. I appreciate every one of you who took a little time out of your day to read this little passion project of mine <3
Title: Stars Above
Chapter: 6/12 (43.3K words currently)
Summary: Stars don't usually fall, and when they do, they don't bleed. Scar didn't expect the sky to split open that night. He didn't expect to find something winged and wrong, feathered in places no person should be, with too many eyes blinking where none should exist. He definitely didn't expect to bring it home.
(Or, Scar finds an eldritch bird abomination in the woods and brings him home. What could possibly go wrong?)
