Did you really managed to lose Kris? How? Sure, the dark world is big and overwhelming, but how did you get this far away from them? Well, you suppose that's what you get for wandering off without thinking. Dang.
A sigh escapes your chest as you give into the darkness that expands around you. You let it press down on you for a few seconds, before perking back up. You've gotta keep going. Might as well enjoy your time alone. A small smile creeps on your face as you take a few steps forward to continuing your wanderings into the farther unknowns.
You aren't quite sure how far you get before you notice, but soon you come to realize the dark world seems to have felt a shift. You begin to notice the theme of it all has taken a new form. Paintings and splashes of color fill the void as you walk deeper.
Unease fills you stomach and slowly your steps fall to a stop. You turn back- trying to piece together how you got to this place- yet there is no path back. There is nothing there, just the dark. You swallow nothing and turn back to look down the path you were walking down. Before you can begin to walk again, you jerk backwards and stare towards the man down the way. When the hell did they show up? How?
Garry had spotted the child before they had spotted him, and was attempting to catch up with them. Of course he was concerned finding someone far younger than him lost in the dark world. Even he was struggling to get used to it, and he was not only older, but had been through something similar before.
He was just about to call out in hopes of catching their attention, when they noticed him first. Slowing down his pursuit, he smiled and waved at them. Stopping directly in front of them, he paused for just a moment as he took in what they looked like. He couldn’t help but notice that they looked a bit sick.
“Ah, hello! Pardon me for asking, but do you need help? I can’t imagine you’re any less lost than I am, and I noticed you don’t quite look well.”
Of course, he had previous experience with helping children lost in alternate worlds. Though in Ib’s case, she had been practically as much help to him as he had been to her. Afterall, she had saved his life. It still stunned him sometimes how well she had handled the entire situation.
This wasn’t Ib, though, and as of yet he had no grasp on how well they were handling the situation in comparison to him.
“I have to say it’s a relief to see another person here. I was beginning to think I was alone. Aside from the entities that live here, that is.”
