TMP 31 SPOILERS AND THEORIES UNDER THE LINE

i’ve sent maybe 20 minutes total of voice notes explaining my theories for tmp 2 and what the new episode implies but i’m going to bullet point my thoughts here for all of you!

• COLIN - colin has been absorbed into the computer the same way jon and martin and jonah (?) were. surely during their blast they got atomised too, it would make sense that that’s how they got trapped in there. and now the computer has absorbed another person, maybe colin’s voice will show up?

• THE VEHICLE NAMED GERTRUDE - gertrude existed in the tma universe, as the ‘other place’ is now confirmed to be. she was alive and she died, she existed. I think someone in the tma world remembers her and named the vehicle after her. I just think it has cool implications

• THE WATCHER CREATURES - the fears still very much exist, just not the domains. the creatures in the tma world continue to exist and hunt and sustain themselves

• THE TAPES - the archivist no longer needs to be physically present in the tma universe for a statement to be extracted. tapes are placed around and the archivist is now an opportunistic feeder, preying on those who get too close and are too weak

• THE AVATARS - we know that something noteworthy happened to simon fairchild after the panopticon exploded, but what of the other remaining avatars? maybe we’ll meet some new ones?

• THE DOMAINS - people in the tma universe know about the domains, they remember it and it’s visceral. I reckon if you tapped someone on the shoulder and cheerfully asked what domain they went to as an icebreaker you’d be decked in the face. it’s important to these people that they overcame fear, or were at least saved from it, but they continue to be frightened. they fear each other and their world
