A little something I wrote as an intro for a Christmas EMCEE script. Hope you enjoy it. xo
My first farewell.
I think in life, we come across a lot of hellos and goodbyes. The first goodbye I ever had to say to my old life was back in 10th grade. I was leaving the country I was born in, the school I studied with the friends I grew up with. Leaving my family and home behind to study abroad or what society would tell me is my 'actual home' because of the passport I hold.
It was an impromptu decision. Shocked my parents as well, but with my sister leaving and a promise I had made to my Grandfather, I decided to leave.
It was tradition in our school that since it was a school from LKG to 12th, that a small private farewell be held for the 10th grades leaving by the same batch. So my bestfriend was organising this affair, he too was leaving and we had it in a hall and everyone had to dress up fancy.
When my parents dropped me off, I was escorted by two of my favorite people, my cousin and my classmate, two of my favorite boys, to the hall.
Seeing all my friends, or the friends that became family over the years for the last time really warmed up my heart. A few instances I remember and cherish were the best moments in my life.
A game was announced where all the girls had to leave their shoes on the stage and the guys would have to pick a pair and they would be a couple for a night. Since I was in mourning for the loss of my Grandpa, I decided to not do so. And then after everyone picked and headed to the dance floor, while I sat at my table, my bestfriend came to me, got down on one knee and took my hand and asked me to dance with him. After the song ended, my cousin and I danced, he hugged me as though it was the last time he would, the boy who protected me since we were kids. Then each of my friends, people I had forgotten in school, asked me to dance one dance with them, one last goodbye. This showed me how many people knew and loved me. That I too played a small roll in their lives as they did in mine. I couldn't hug them all and say goodbye, or dance one last dance with them, so I was made to give a goodbye speech on behalf of the 20 or so of us who were leaving and I thanked everyone for the best 12 years of our lives.
My life is falling apart and I see you and suddenly it all seemed okay, just for a little while

It's been a while since I've been here. What should I write? Not a single word or story in sight. The world is difficult and yet we survive, to wake up to another day, so for now, goodnight.

I came across one of these viral blog posts about how your birthday can predict your personality or whatever. I always found these things cheesy but interesting too. So I decided to give it a shot and the suggestion I got was literally my life goal. So I decided to save it here, on my online blog/diary so I never forget it.
My DOB is: July 1st, 1997.
#7 – THE INTELLECTUAL 7′s are the searchers. Always probing for hidden information, they find it difficult to accept things at face value. Emotions don’t sway their decisions. Questioning everything in life, they don’t like to be questioned themselves. They’re never off to a fast start, and their motto is slow and steady wins the race. They come across as philosophers and being very knowledgeable, and sometimes as loners. They are technically inclined and make great researchers uncovering information. They like secrets. They live in their own world and should learn what is acceptable and what’s not in the world at large. Famous 7′s: William Shakespeare, Lucille Ball, Michael Jackson, Joan Baez, Princess Diana

I was going through posts on my Instagram feed and came across one of an old friend of mine. We grew up together and we eventually fell apart after we both moved away and all of that. He was the most rebellious, happy go lucky and sweetest friend I could ever ask for. And contradicting to his personality he was also extremely shy. He was the usual jock who was popular but never spoke to girls other than me. I guess the only reason we got along cause I was a Tom boy myself. Anyways let’s move on. He was never an over achiever. Was always content with what he got whether it was academics, extra curricular events or his personal life. That’s what made him so amazing. Which is quite remarkable coming from the city life we were brought up in. He is now the President of the Student council in his college. Seeing him smile and that happiness in his face, and that humble yet proud look because he knew he achieved something he was PROUD of through hardwork, I realised I missed out on seeing this amazing boy grow up into an incredible human being. He always was one but seeing him reach heights just filled me with awe, respect and love. I know this post is kind of all over the place and not properly worded. But I just wanted him to know, if he reads this, That this girl is always proud of her bestfriend. And all our differences aside, you’ll always be the one person I respect the most. Love you, homeboy.

Loving Criminal Minds Season 9 right now.
I asked him what was going on, he said ‘nothing’.
I asked him who she was, he said no one.
Now he’s with ‘no one’ and I’m left with nothing.
