A little surprising to me in all honestly, but I'm definitely not complaining!
So, as a little reward, I'll share some details about it!
Imagine growing up with your best friend. You've never left town, and you two did everything together. You both played in the park, ate at the diner, explored the cave, went to the same school. Everything one would typically do with their best friend.
But one day, something feels off. Feels like it's changed.
Your friend is quieter than they normally are, except for when they're louder than they normally are.
They're doing things they've never really done before, acting in ways that don't align with how they did in the past.
They speak in a voice that doesn't sound like their own.
What happened to your friend? N-No, that wasn't their name! It's your friend! What is going on in this town?!
And, has that cave.... always been here?
UNALTERED is heavily inspired by Deltarune. In simple terms, "What if you experienced Deltarune as it happened, but you are playing as Noelle instead of Kris?"
You are now the "best friend" character to their "Player" character.
As such, while you do "control" your character as you would in a video game, you do not have the free reign that controlling a character would typically give you. For example, you can't make your character start a fight with a random NPC because they wouldn't start a fight to begin with.
With the images above, we have the character you play as, who is tentatively named "Zoey" at the moment, and your best friend that will act as the "controlled Player character" of this story.
If any of this is confusing, I do apologize and will gladly clarify and answer almost any question asked about this game or any of the others from this poll!
All I ask in return is that you share my posts to friends and to not steal my ideas please! For the love of everything PLEASE do not steal my ideas!
A final note to end on is, as you can tell, this and mostly all of the other ideas of this poll are merely in the sketching/writing out phase of development.
As such, actual progression in terms of making these games into a reality is going to be a while. Hopefully, it doesn't take forever, because I truly would love nothing more than to make these games playable for people to enjoy.
