   His forearms pressed against the top of the receptionist’s desk, resting there for a bit until he reached for some candy pieces that filled a small bowl. This was considered a minor break from the boring work he always ( sometimes ) invested himself with. It was the presence of another that he gave a short greeting, “Um— heeey. Are you.. here for a meeting, or were you just wandering around? You aren’t really the first person to pop in here, that’s why.” 

   Short it was, but anything to initiate conversation and eat away the amount of time left til work was over. Besides, he was curious for the stranger’s sudden arrival here.

Sure, if wandering included hiding from ghetto-ass collectors who were lookin' for her father, then she definitely was wandering. "Uh, y'know, just looked like a nice place, n'all. Very clean, tidy." Fiona clears her throat slightly, thankful she's wearing some of her half-decent clothes, and nothing that has holes. It's a small blessing, and one she is more than willing t'count.
