When I get blood samples at work sometimes they’re still warm from being imminently inside the patient’s veins and my hands are always cold because all the labs Ive work in are in the basement and they keep it kinda cold for whatever reason (and I’m also just a chilly kid).

And I clutch the little warm tubes of blood and feel this sick person warming my hands and I think about how kind you might be and how I wish I could hold your hand and how badly, how really really badly, I want you to get better and stay warm and hold someone’s hand again.

And anyway sometimes it’s better to not think so vividly about the people I’m doing tests for. I’m a good little cog in a vast machine of people all trying to heal and cure, and my cog feels so fucking small sometimes. But I hope the blood I prepare for you helps you breathe better and laugh and wake up feeling well rested.

We’ve never met but you warmed my hands and I want you to know I love you and I’m rooting for you.

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't been online recently. I owe many people messages, which I will send as soon as I can, and as I post this I've also queued up some posts from Palestinian comrades who have been so kind and patient in my absence and who urgently need and deserve our solidarity and direct support. Please prioritize them! I haven't been here because my health problems have been much worse than usual. I'm just now starting to improve enough to be online occasionally. During this time, I've also really been struggling financially. I currently don't know how I'll pay off a $45 prescription bill, a $50 dentist bill, or the $70 I borrowed from someone I know for a prescription medication to treat intestinal cramping.

I'm running out of necessities I can't afford to replace as well, like several medications/vitamins and hygiene staples like toothpaste, not to mention nutritious food. I am physically disabled and stuck in bed almost all the time by worsening health issues. My income is about 1/3 of the local minimum wage.

That's why without help, I'm going to just have to skip more meals and medications and hygiene. I don't have other options.

I have an amazon list of food and necessities, in case any financially secure adult wants to help. Literally anything would make a difference, however small.

I can also accept cards from places like walmart (https://www.walmart.com/giftcards/) at thatdiabolicalfeminist at protonmail dot com. This would allow me to buy groceries and over the counter medications!
