i would love to see what a professional music critic / someone who knows music theory would have to say about those contemporary styled jw songs

like i hate them so much bc they're just propaganda in music form. music created in a lab to be catchy but also remind you of god and armageddon every other verse (so you don't enjoy yourself Too much)

it's like the org going "look we can be hip and fun!!" but it feels so out of touch and soulless. i wanna see someone break down and analyze the components of these songs like, is it just the lyrics that suck? or is the whole song bad?

one thing about me is that from the ages of 11-16 i had a genuine fear of thrift shop by macklemore because it was playing while i was secretly reading a goosebumps book at my cousins house and was terrified someone would catch me doing so because #religion and as such associated that fear with thrift shop by macklemore. what im saying is something is wrong with me and its objectively really really funny

hard launch tour prediction!! Everyone is having a normal time. dnp seem fine. “We have a surprise for you guys.” Phil says. All of a sudden P!ATD come out and start singing “High Hopes.” When Brendon gets to the chorus, someone else starts singing… “every snowflakes different just like you.” Lights flash everywhere, and you see FOB singing “High Hopes” along with P!ATD, while MCR is singing their Yo Gabba Gabba Christmas hit. Everyone in the crowd is going to be ok. Then if things couldn’t get any more ok, Dan and Phil walk onto stage and kiss their secret girlfriends, holding the straight flag.
