hi hello hi this is muffin and welcome to my animal crossing blog, don’t forget to wipe your paws on the mat

I initially created an AC blog back in 2020 a few months after the release of New Horizons so I could document my play through, particularly to friends of mine who didn’t use tumblr. I completely forgot about sideblogs and decided to rebrand my old blog to this one and have it connected to one of my primary blogs so I wouldn't have to keep logging onto tumblr to post on this blog.

At the time I tried to keep in character as my animal crossing sona/self-insert and I was able to do so for a good year’s worth of screencaps. Like many AC fans, I grew bored of NH and took a good hiatus from the game and series as a whole for a while.

This time, I’m dropping the in character act, and all posts from here on out will be out of character. On top of NH caps, I’ll occasionally post retrospectives of my time in New Leaf, as well as post screencaps from Pocket Camp and Happy Home Designer too. I’ve gathered a lot of screencaps and I can’t wait to share them. Enjoy your time here!

I took a break from ACNH for a good long while, only to come back to flatten my island and renovate it from the ground up. It was good to have something to do for a while. Audie has her own resort and hosts the island's campsite!

While I wish I had chosen a better island lay out overall, I’m satisfied with what I made of it. Just being able to accommodate all the aesthetics and colors I like is nice on its own (since I’ve never been really big on island planning.. lol).

a very long time ago I was gifted a copy of Happy Home Designer but I accidentally put it into storage for several years until I unearthed it later.

it was ultimately a lil plain but idk, I had a ton of fun with it! It really satisfied my craving for a different AC experience since I burnt myself out of NH. I plan to pick it up again soon, since I have many houses to organize still.

that year would have been a blur if not for the time I spent playing this game, especially with my friends. Highlights included having Dom and Rocket as my starters, Audie among my first recruits/first peppy villager, and running into Octavian; one of my childhood faves on an island.
