“It goes back to the vulnerability of just a human," he says of singing into the stars and exploring celestial spaces. "I think it’s pretty interesting how much confidence we can have as a human species, when really it’s pretty hilarious that we have any confidence at all. It’s so funny to me.”

“I have an outdoor kitchen which is kind of a blessing and a curse. Cooking all your meals outside is a totally different experience because you get the scenery and the wind and then in the evenings you get the loads of crickets. It’s a very cool environment to cook in but also you attract all the creatures. For example, the racoons can smell when I’m cooking and I can see them watching me. The tree looks out over the canyon and it’s very secluded and really quiet. It’s a nice place to read and make music. I moved out here with a laptop and a suitcase so I don’t have anything to tie me down – I could hit the road at any time.”
“If the question is if I was on psychedelic drugs while making this album, then no. I was purely on the drugs my brain was supplying. But that’s not to say that you can’t enjoy music without a little aid from our psychedelic friend.” - BØRNS for Autre
