I literally followed you just to wait and see your reaction to Rohan’s fate 😭 Only because I needed the solidarity. I think I finished the book just as you started it (?) and I was so distraught! Literally I had a hard time reacting to much of what happened afterwards because I was still in pain over him :( And because our fandom is kinda small I had a hard time finding others who had finished the book *and* were grieving over Rohan. ☹️ I still can’t get over it. I think I literally went through the five stages of grief, starting with denial when *that scene* first happened. I was literally waiting for him to pop up again somewhere 😭 Also book 3 used to be my favorite to re-read but now I’m not gonna be able to do it without getting sad over him :( Anyway. We need an au were he survives to heal our souls 😭😭

hello hello, this is me sending in an ask about flameflight. I’ve been so obsessed with the idea of it ever since you originally made that post about it, which sucks because there is basically no content for it. Anyway, if you have the time I would desire to hear stuff you were conceptualizing about flameflight!

I decided to ship them in my rewrite because I was writing down the pairs I wanted and Sunny stole Fatespeaker so I started looking at other characters that were Starflight’s age and I chose Flame

I’ve joked about Scarlet being a homophobic lesbian and banning gay marriage so I decided to keep that and make the skywings a very conservative culture leading to Kestrel giving Starflight internalized homophobia and the skywings in the talons of peace doing the same to Flame

Also they are both my favorite dod/fdod so they immediately took over my brain and I became obsessed with them and the idea of two teenagers finding acceptance in each other

Also I wanted their internalized homophobia to be different Starflight’s is more like shame and trying to “fix” himself while Flame is angry and pushes others away especially dragons he likes

Despite their reluctance I want them to be the first couple to officially get together I feel like the others will get together in arc 2 or 3 but I want Flame and Starflight to bond immediately and then spend a lot of time together while healing from their injuries

I’m currently trying to get through writers block and keep writing the actual rewrite and the one thing keeping me focused is knowing I’ll eventually get to Starflight and Flame
