Tyre Lever
"What you want and I what I want isn’t going together very well, is it?" the man chuckled, his hand knotting further into Gary’s hair and he jerked his head backwards.
"You can plead all you want, but I’m not going to listen… you have a lot of things you want to have. Now it’s my turn," he grinned down at Gary and moved him so he was lying down, his hand moving to the edge of Gary’s trousers, already trying to tug them off.
Gary's hands moved up so the pull on his hair wouldn't be too painful and then he tried to untangle his hair from the grip.
"Stop it, just... stop!" His breathing was speeding and he was afraid. This couldn't actually be happening, could it? "Get off me!" he shouted, almost hoping someone with common sense was passing their flat right at this moment, that would at least call the police and alert them. Not that it was likely anything like that would happen.
"I can give you money, or something, just not this!"
Tyre Lever
The man grinned at Gary, knowing full well that, indeed, he could inform the police, but he too knew that Gary would pity him too much, that Gary couldn’t call the police on him.
He had touched his boyfriend, scratched his car, he’d now broken the lock to his apartment… he could go as far as he wanted. This good-hearted boy was not going to do him harm.
"But you won’t…" he replied, moving his hand towards Gary’s cheek, letting his nicotine-stained fingers cross over his olive skin, slowly moving down his neck and into his hair. "How does this feel, hm?"
His eyes closed and he moved his head to the side. He felt more than a little disgusted, but what was he going to do? Put up a fight would most likely not end up in him winning.
"I want you to stop," he said, trying to keep his breathing even, as getting in a complete panic wasn't going to be all too helpful either. "Please."
Tyre Lever
"I’m not going to let you get away, so it’s no use walking to that door," he spoke. "I can hurt ye… and I don’t think you want that pretty face of yours all scarred… so get back here and sit down on your bed," he said, taking another drag, before dropping the cigarette down on the ground, putting it out with his shoe, before holding out the tyre lever. "Come on, dear. On the bed… now.”
The lever was raised towards him, threatening to hurt him. He scratched the back of his greasy, fat neck. “Don’t be shy,” he grinned.
This would be a good moment for someone to have the sudden urge to visit him, but he wasn't counting on it to happen.
He slowly sat back down on the bed, feeling his throat go completely dry, while his heart was beating fast and hard. He didn't want this man to touch him... but that was what was going to happen, wasn't it? Unless he found a way out of it.
"You know I could inform the police about this."
Tyre Lever
He watched his neighbour panic slightly and could only grin in response, inhaling deeply from the cigarette, tapping the ash onto the floor. “You know what kind o’ things I like,” he grinned, moving his hand back through his greasy, greying hair. “We’ve talked about it a few times before, haven’t we?” he let out a laugh and took a few steps closer to Gary. “You, me and that blonde friend of yours,” he let out another laugh. “He looks like a real good fuck.”
He tapped ash down onto Gary’s bed as he was close enough. “But I know of another young man tha’ looks like an even better one. Heard that the ‘artistic’ types are more experimen’al when it comes to fuckin’,” he grinned dirtily, his hand moving forwards then, moving towards the side of Gary’s face.
Gary had to hide his disgust, as he was certain it wouldn't help him out right now. He felt so angry at the fact that this man even dared mention Tom, let alone in this context. He didn't respond to it.
Although he managed to sit almost motionless while the man neared, he suddenly stirred into action when the hand moved towards the side of his face. He got up off the bed and tried to step passed the man, making an attempt for the door. He wasn't keep on letting this man have the freedom to roam his room, but it was better than... it.
Tyre Lever
"Don’t worry, neighbour, I ain’t gonna kill you,” he spoke, stepping a few more steps inside the room, slamming the door shut, wedging it into the doorframe. He held the lever in his hands, twisting and turning it. “Ain’t the first time ye got attacked in here I heard,” he spoke, moving his hand to his pocket and pulling out his packet of tobacco and beginning to roll a cigarette while the lever was under his arm.
"So, what’re you up te, neighbour? Chillin’ out on a nice afternoon? Sounds boring to me," he gave Gary a filthy grin, before licking the rolling paper and sticking shut the cigarette. He then moved it between his lips and lit it without even asking whether that was okay. He didn’t care.
He took the customs of his own house into Gary’s. Clearly they weren’t very clean. His t-shirt was dirty, stained and not even the right size — his chest hair was visible above the neck of his t-shirt and his sweatpants… well, they looked about ten years old, never having seen a washing machine before.
Well, that wasn't really much of a relief, as Gary didn't trust what his neighbour otherwise would've brought a tyre lever for. It certainly wouldn't be for a good case.
He looked around for a moment, but knew better than to look for his phone. Even if it was nearby, it wouldn't be on. He cursed the fact that he never listened to Tom, who always told him he should have it on him in case something like this happened, an emergency. Now he was practically helpless, as all the nearby buildings were either vacant or full of folk that wouldn't be willing to help him even if they did hear him shout.
"Nothing," he replied to the question, not even capable of coming up with the true answer. "Boring? Then - then what's not boring?"
Tyre Lever
He didn’t even want to knock. Knocking caused too little annoyance and so he waited until he heard music playing in the room across from his own to fiddle at the lock, finally taking the tyre lever from the ground and smacking it against the door handle. His neighbour surely wasn’t going to be happy, but he couldn’t do anything anymore. It was an open house now… no lock, not even a door handle to be seen, except for on the floor, of course.
"Pufter, yer fuckin’ done for," he spoke, tyre lever in his hand as he stood in the door opening, looking at the young man he’d threatened time and time again.
Gary eyes were shut as he laid on his bed, listening to some music. It'd been a busy week, but he'd finally had and passed his last assessment, which finally granted him some rest. He could fall asleep now, but he wouldn't yet. He still had to have dinner, which he'd at some point get up for.
He was crudely interrupted by a sudden loud bang and his heart almost jumped from his chest, as he sat up straight, staring in shock as the door opened. For a few seconds he was frozen, but then he raised both his hands a little, as if in defense. "Please... Why?" Did he get him to talk? Did he try to escape? Or fight? Or...? How did he make sure this man wouldn't end up killing him with a tyre lever?!
"That’s the last time we do that." (Gary)
Matthew grinned towards his friend, the used rope in his hands as he began to roll it up neatly to store it. “Don’t pretend you didn’t like it, dear.”
He cleared his throat, before he looked at Matthew, no longer hiding his smile. "Alright, I won't pretend, but we still won't be doing it again."

"You do know that makes me feel special, don’t you darling?"
"Of course! You’re the only man that’s at all times worthy of taking me."
"I love you."

Manchester Piccadilly
"I usually do it like this," Samuel spoke. "I travel around too much to really have friends here in Manchester that have the same kind of interests and want to go on road trips," he said. "I know people around that I can stay with, so they’re usually the places I go to," Sam ordered a coffee and a slice of lemon cheesecake when the lady came over.
"The only problem is that I don’t have a car or a license, so that was why I needed someone to travel with. I usually do the travelling alone." he said. "I want to go down through Wales. I found a really nice route," he said, running his fingers through his hair slowly.
"What about you? Does that sound good?"
Gary was enjoying their conversation, even though they'd only just met. It didn't seem to matter that they didn't know each other well. They had the same interests and that was enough for them to get along.
He ordered a cappuccino. He'd just had a bit of lunch, so he wasn't hungry, even though cheesecake sounded good. Perhaps later he'd change his mind.
"My car's a rusty old thing, but it works and it's roomy," he said, which was an answer to most of Samuel's questions. He'd wanted to go on a trip for quite a while now and all through the summer holiday he'd been looking out for something. "I've saved up a bit of money. It's not much, but it should get me somewhere." That was the main reason he couldn't travel on his own.
Manchester Piccadilly
Samuel eyed the boy that stood quite a way away from him. His head was always turned a little so he could hear his music properly. He was adorable and Sam wondered whether he was ever going to come up and talk to him. He was here often, after all. Sam only smiled when he turned and walked away and he saw that Gary had also been looking at the boy. “He comes and listens to me often,” Samuel explained, a bright smile on his face. “It’s really nice.”
They headed towards the café Gary had spoken about. “Have you done anything like this before? Or do you usually do road trip-like things with people you already know?” Sam asked, heading into the café, where he put his guitar down and sat down on one of the chairs at the table they’d picked out.
Gary smiled, finding it nice that someone would come to listen to hear Samuel play. It seemed such a special bond to have with someone. He wondered if they'd ever spoken, but he figured he didn't know Samuel well enough to ask such questions. Maybe at some later point. They were possibly going on a trip together, after all.
"I've gone on a road trip with my best friend before, but usually I'll hang up a notice in my school and wait for someone to respond," he said, while sitting down. "What about you?"
Manchester Piccadilly
When the song finished he leaned over and held out his hand to the other. “Samuel,” he said, moving his guitar off his shoulder and putting it down. “Glad you came!” he smiled. It wasn’t always that people turned up when they said they would. Nor was it always the case that they were genuine.
He leaned down to gather the money he’d earned and put it away in his wallet before gathering his things. “Do you want to go and get a coffee somewhere? Or we could go to my place, whatever you want,” he said picking up his guitar case and casting a smile towards the other. His face was a friendly one and one that was, nicely, instantly trusted. Of course first impressions weren’t always accurate, but having spent a lot of time on the streets Samuel was pretty good at spotting danger.
He took the offered hand. "Gary," he replied. He smiled then, as he waited for Samuel to gather his things. He looked around for a moment and saw a few people slowly head off, that had been standing around listening. One of them seemed to hesitate a moment, before turning around, almost as if they'd been wanting to come over. He seemed shy and Gary wondered if Samuel had noticed, as it was rather cute, in a way. Gary was almost certain he knew what that sort of fiddling behaviour meant...
"Coffee would be nice," he said. Although Samuel seemed trustworthy and friendly enough, Gary didn't want to risk ending up in a stranger's house. He hardly knew anything about him yet, after all. "There's a nice café around the corner from here."
