Cinder and Kai from The Lunar Chronicles

Ok but Cress spent the beginning of her life being used for experiments, and then later on being imprisoned in a satellite with no proper contact (other than the netscreens) to the outside world. Was never shown real love and was basically used by Sybil and Levana (who btw wouldn't have accomplished half of what she did without Cress), and had only an AI she programmed for company and spinned fantasies to be less alone.

She could've become resentful and selfish, and yet she risked her life by warning Cinder and Kai about Levana's plans when she had every chance to completely foil their plans and save her the trouble and is the most selfless, kind understanding and loving bean and honestly if I was her, I would've cracked.

Honestly, Cress's personality sometimes makes me forget just how much she's been through and how extremely strong she is.
